Caius

Caius was born in the Claritywind clan, and he and his siblings were taught at a young age to be masters at whatever they showed an interest in. Caius wanted to be a bard because he was always loved how they could make up any sort of song right on the spot. So he was trained to be a bard but it didn’t work out so well. When ever he tried singing his singing was really off tone and no one could stand it. Also every instrument he touch would either snap or shatter, even though he had barely touched them. So Caius gave up being a bard and decided to read books or write poetry as he tried to figure out what he was meant to do in life. During this time he started to become interested in languages and how they all worked.

Once Caius had learned all that he could learn from his home clan he decided it was time to travel the world. His parents strongly encouraged this and said it would help him continue to learn more and be inspired about his passion. His parents also told him it would give him the opportunity to spread a lot of kindness throughout the world.

Caius' travels were helpful, he discovered many interesting languages and learned much about them and how they worked. along the way he also gained much inspiration for his poetry.
During his travels, he eventually came to the windswept plateau. He did not like this place one bit because of all the towering cliffs scattered about. Which is a weird thing for a dragon to dislike, but Caius had never been fond of heights. This is because he never learned to fly. although because he was from a water clan he did at least learn how to swim. Swimming and flying are not much different, but to Caius it was. Every time he tried to fly his wings would lock up and press tightly to his body making it impossible to fly.

After lots of climbing Caius managed to scale some of the cliffs in the area, though it was probably the scariest time of his life. As he was resting he noticed a Black crystal Ridgeback covered in Armour in the distance. Caius ran to them as fast as he could. when he Approached the Ridgeback he asked him where the nearest clan was, but the Ridgeback just stared at him. Did he not understand the language? Caius knew that sometimes Coatls could only hum for their language if they never learned proper draconic but he didn’t know much about ridgebacks. He tried again and this time he heard a small voice. This confused Caius, how could such a big dragon have such a small voice….He then noticed a small fae come out from under the ridgebacks Armour and she introduced herself as Marietta and the big old Silent ridgeback as her mate Chrom she then said that her clan wasn’t too far. And with that they headed over there.

When they arrived Caius was surprised to see so many wildclaws all in one place. This place must get pretty wild he thought. Almost as soon as that thought passed his mind, a leaf colored wildclaw bowed and introduced himself as Gamma the leader of the clan and that he hopped he enjoyed his stay here in the Kaito clan. he then continued and said how nice it was to see another imperial around since apparently the clan only had too imperials at the time. Caius found this really strange. Most of the clans he had seen the number of dragons of each breed were pretty equal, but this clan appeared to be the opposite.

Caius then decided to explored the clan a bit and chat with a few of the clan members. He eventually came to a cave full of books, lots and lots of books. It was like a dream come true. he knew he had to stay here awhile just so he could read and study how language was used in them. His excitement suddenly shifted when he then heard crying coming from underneath a pile of books. He gently shoved some books off the pile and discovered a very blue dragon both emotionally and color wise. Caius talked to the very blue imperial to find out what was wrong. She then told him the depressing news of the loss of her mate, and Caius embraced her as the tears began to waterfall down the sad dragons face. After much embracing and calming words the blue dragon was able to calm down and tell Caius that her name was Gaia. After that the two imperials were inseparable their thirst for knowledge and reading kept their love strong.

A great while after Caius had joined the clan he discovered that there was a hatchling who had lost his parents. This poor hatchling didn't make any sort of sound and wasn't able to communicate in any other way, he just wanted to cling to the Roc that had rescued him. Caius saw this as a fun challenge to get this hatchling to speak and so he quickly claimed the hatchling as his own and named him Lucky
