ABOUT.
As a result of a very difficult hatching, Ictus was born completely deaf. The only way she could communicate was through a variety of hand signals and motions. It didn't matter to the clan, because as long as she could pull her weight, she could stay. Of course, due to the amount of fur natural to Tundras, she initially found some difficulty in making her sign language understood. For a while she trimmed the fur carefully around her claws, leading to odd bare patches and cold toes when she walked. Now she simply paints her claws a bright, lurid orange. It made them easier to see. Besides, they were rather pretty.

Somewhere along the way, she decided that she liked the colorful Halloween decorations the clan put up, so she "borrowed" some and draped it over herself.

Ictus is practically best friends with Dysnomia. Sort of partners-in-crime. The pair are inseparable. Dysnomia seems to understand her sign language so she helps Ictus communicate with the rest of the clan. She likes holding conversations with Aeneas, a mute imperial who understood her sign language as well.

Whatever fate she's got here is much better than being left as an egg on a shelf.
