New Paths
His father had inherited a small fortune from his last superior, so they had moved to the Tangled Wood and bought a nice place. He finally got to meet his mother, who had been waiting in the Tangled Wood for years. She was not his biological mother, but he did not mind that. Her smile was home, and so he grew up inheriting his parents' love. He also inherited his parents' love for cooking.
As he grew older he made a few travels, mostly as he changed his workplace. He enjoyed both the work and the places he visited, and so his loyalty to his element was swayed. One day, when he was on his way to his new job in the Windflower clan, something curious happened that changed his route completely.
He had about two months of summer holiday, and so he spent them following strange smells and pretty birds. After maybe a month of crisscrossing he found himself in the outskirts of the Sunbeam Ruins. He was just soaring over a field outside of a small town when a young female skydancer appeared on the ground out of nowhere. Some hatchlings had been playing ball when a cloud of mist appeared, kicked out a seemingly confused skydancer and melted away. He followed the scene from above. Hetrusted his wings more than the ground, as he had never seen the sky spit someone out of the blue.
When the newcomer had had a talk with the clan leader, she was shown to a room in the outskirts of the town. The hatchlings from earlier spotted her, and was invited in. He landed on the roof and stretched his head as far down to the window as he dared, and listened. He listened to the unfathomable story until weariness pulled him to sleep.
Hewoke up early in the morning togather ingredients. He had dreamt that he had made a delicious breakfast for them, and when he woke up it seemed like a good idea. He wanted to get to know this strange skydancer, she seemed cute. And so he did. He told her about himself, but let her do most of the talking after a while. Her eyes were sharp and smart, but her knowledge was not of this world. He decided to show her the world, and called her Afterlife since that was the only name she knew of. He would start by showing her the Sea of a Thousand Currents as she had never seen more than a bucket of water before, and took great delight at her wonder. He declined his new job and showed her the world instead. It was the best decision he had ever made.

Darkness' Oath
When they finally settled down, it was by their dear poet friend, Moon. He lived in a clan called the Powergem. It was a nice place, really. At first glance it looked like any other industrial lightning den, but on a closer look it was adorned and cozy everywhere it could. It was a home.
He was introduced to Miss Conception, She looked nothing like her mother, and so he was surprised to know they could just have easily grown up as childhood friends as far apart like they did. What was even stranger was when another Miss Conception appeared one year later, having experienced that exact destiny.
