Biography

History-

So, I assume everyone knows that fire is really, really hot. And I also assume that everyone knows that the Flamecaller doesn’t mess around with things that he doesn’t care about. Well, let me tell you a story about a dragon. I know what you’re thinking. Fire breath and attacks on random villages and lots of treasure, right? Not exactly.

A long time ago, longer than anyone can comprehend, there was a fire. It wasn’t a regular fire. It was the kind that swallowed everything in its path. A wild fire that was not controlled by anything. It began to eat away at the Earth. No one could stop it. Not even the deities, who were too busy trying to make peace with one another to really notice what was happening.

Worse than the plague itself, the fire spread. And it only got bigger. Far worse each day. More and more in Sornieth was becoming charred ruins. Everyone knew that nothing could be done about this monster that devoured every tree and plant and animal that stood in its way.

A Fire born dragon by the name of Jupiter became a father on the same day that the fire devoured his home. He had a son that looked nearly identical to him. The son in question was nameless, mostly because his father got lost along with his mother in the flames. The baby Imperial was left alone.

The young dragon, not intelligent yet, went right up to the fire. And he got a little burned, the flames creating smoky patterns all over his skin. It hurt, and when he regained consciousness, which he had lost from the shock of the pain, he looked around. The fire was everywhere, and no one could stop it.

He found a group of dragons in the Water flight’s territory, the only place untouched by fire, and he turned to the wall of flame building up around them. And with a deep breath and a murmured incantation, all of the flames deceased. It seemed that the young son of Jupiter had a gift.

And what a gift it was. He could control fire. He could tell it what to do and where to go. He could hold it back or push it forward. The Water dragons questioned whether he was some kind of deity himself.

He shook his head adamantly at that suggestion, insisting he was just a kid. Nonetheless, the water clan welcomed him into their territory, and he became part of them forever. They called him Firelord, mostly because of his inexplicable ability to work with fire rather than against it.

Firelord remained in that clan for years. It just seemed… right to him. What no one could see is precisely how much this ability was wearing him down. Every time he touched a talon to fire, he grew a little weaker. Concerned, the clan held a short hearing and asked him about it.

Firelord explained that he was not a Mage, and that what he was using was magic. Even Mages get worn down by using excessive amounts of magic, and Firelord had no training. The clan Mages immediately took him in and taught him to control his magical skills. And control them he did.

Firelord still remains in that clan, happy to have a home where he can care about his family members. Sure, he thinks the title “Firelord” might be an overstatement, but he lets that slide.

Personality-

This Imperial is a serious one. He always has a stone cold expression on his face, and his eyes are always calm and calculating. Firelord is a dragon who always seems to know what to do, even when everyone else is completely lost. This makes him an excellent advisor for the clan leader.

Firelord is brave as well. Nothing much can scare him anymore. Not after the awful memories that plague him. Nothing can scare him, and nothing can make him back down from a challenge. He’s the kind of dragon that is constantly risking his life for reasons that mystify others.

The thing is that Firelord is extremely modest. Considering his great abilities, he has to deal with a lot of adoration from the clans that he meets, and that has made him kind of shy. He avoids crowds at all costs, and he is perfectly happy with just his small clan. The dragon isn’t exactly a social one.

Firelord grows weaker with each moment he has to use magic to control fire. He doesn’t honestly care. This Imperial has no sense of self preservation, and he can be reckless at times due to it.

Firelord is a quiet dragon as well. He would rather be alone than in the company of another, and he values silence above all other states. Frankly, he thinks speech is a pointless thing, as communication can be done without ever opening one’s mouth. He only speaks when he deems it necessary.

This Imperial is very mentally strong and authoritative. When forced to work in a group without an obvious leader, he will immediately begin to organize everything. Because of his natural leadership, many would call him bossy and stubborn. If things are not under control, he panics a bit, but is usually able to overcome it in a few seconds.

Unfortunately, his magic cannot heal what’s been broken. His lost loved ones appear in his dreams. He suffers from depression and anxiety, which is why he typically isolates himself from other dragons. Mages have tried to help him, but it’s not a sickness. It’s more of a mindset that he is stuck in.

Firelord, despite his mental battles, is an excellent combatant. He enjoys nothing more than fighting worthy opponents, and he adores competition. It seems to take his mind off of everything. He is great at self-motivation, always keeping up with his responsibilities and learning, as well as tutoring.

All in all, this Imperial is a good friend, provided you have patience and are caring enough to be with him always. Nothing can put him down when he’s feeling confident, so he is the kind of dragon that everyone tends to like. Even during his weaker moments, others seem to care very deeply for him. He’s too hard to read to determine whether he returns the sentiment.
