Birth
As a simple breeze will eventually become a storm, a wave will become a flood and a dragon, become a warrior.
_________________________________________________________________
Faillon was born in the Abiding Boneyard. Like many other hatchlings, his life was a battle from the moment he emerged from his egg. Fighting his way to survival, he quickly learned how to hunt and eventually excelled at it.

He made a living of hunting and trading the leftover parts to others. Dragons of Plague would value trading wares over currency as metal and gems did not fill the belly after all.

Survival

Time would pass as Faillon lived within his clan, bringing his gatherings of the day to fill their bellies. As the clan moved in order to survive he too moved with them.

A passing group of dragons sat down and spoke to the leaders of the clan. Faillon did not pay any attention to them, for his job was to prepare for the next hunt.
The strongest of the leaders came up to him, a sorrowful expression on their face.
"Pack your things Faillon, today marks the end of your travels with us"

Confused and worried, Faillon demanded explanations but the only replies he got was "it's for the sake of the entire clan". Unable to refuse the order he packed the few things he had and stayed with the group of dragons as his own clan kept walking, little by little vanishing from his sight.
________________________________________________________________________
What he assumed would be like his old days quickly shattered as he returned with the new clan. Where he walked he could see dragons chained, looking at him with curiosity and hope. Discomfort was spreading through his body as he kept walking. As they came to a halt he fixed his gaze upon a large imperial in front of him.

"You're the new one eh? You might fecth a good sum"

Before he could ask, Faillon was thrown into a line of other dragons.

New path

What seemed to be hours later and many dragons passing him, inspecting others and mumbling for themselves as they passed him, a slim mirror with blue scales approached him.

"I'm taking this guy" She exclaimed to the Imperial watching them.
A female ridgeback walked up to them and untied the rope holding Faillon to the rest of the line, he glanced towards the Imperial who, with a snarl, grabbed a bag of what he assumed was gold coins from a Pearlcatcher dressed in black.

The Pearlcatcher walked up to them as the Mirror pulled him away from the other dragons.

"Why do you want him of all? Because he was cheap? Honestly Tune, sometimes I don't understand how you leaders think, bringing all these 'lesser' into the clan."

The mirror, Tune, shot a warning eye at the Pearlcatcher.

"Quiet Sage, you would do best in not questioning the purchases we do for the Boss. Or would you rather sleep under the lightning storms for a few days?"

"What are you going to do with me?" Faillon asked. He was getting confused by their quick speech and decided that if he was going to die he might as well ask how, perhaps he could find a way past it.

"Like many others, we will train you to serve the Stormcatcher. That's our job as a clan under his watch" Tune gave him a light pat on his leg.

Faillon couldn't help but expressing dismay on his face, something that didn't go unnoticed.

"Tch, I can't believe you brought me to translate. He clearly doesn't approve of us buying him out of that place" Sage stroke his crimson pearl to calm himself.

"Sage." Tune warned.

"Yeah I know leader, I know. Anything else you want to know from him?"

Faillon was even more confused than ever, the two dragons in front of him had started to speak too rapidly for him to catch up.
Tune turned towards him again and waved a claw in front of him.

"Hey you. We're heading back, tell me your origins while we walk"

After Sage slowly translating for him Faillon nodded in response and walked with them out of the area.

Honour
On the way back he told them about his life, the two dragons didn't seem to want him anything bad but he made sure to not show how much it pained him to leave his homeclan nor the humiliation of being traded for food.

"So you used to be a hunter, are you per chance good with the way of the sword?" Tune asked.

Waiting for translation he then tried to make an expression of uncertainty, it seemed like the two dragons could understand him as Sage gave him a discouraged expression and Tune nodded.

"At least you know how to handle a small blade, I think we might have more use for you in our clan for an extended period of time rather than sent to serve Boss" The mirror stretched her horns in an excited way, visibly showing her mood for the first time since they first approached him.

"Extended...period?" Faillon tilted his head in confusion.

"It means she wants you to stay in the clan and serve us, apparently you could be of use to her" Sage said, stroking his pearl with the same hand he was carrying it in. He vas very visibly unhappy by his leader's decision.

"To us" a warning tone in Tune's voice rang out.

"Remember Sage, I have a job for everyone who gets to stay in the clan."

"Oh boy, are you going to let me slack off for once? Perhaps he can take my job completely"

"Don't be silly, that's not only a job for you and you know that"
