Norris is a dedicated forager and botanist, daring dangerous areas in order to learn more about the secrets of photosynthesis. Her roots in the Shadow element allow her to run controlled experiments on her potted plants with remarkable finesse.

Her special fondness for carnivorous plants can sometimes seem a little bloodthirsty and occasionally gets her into trouble. In fact, a rival clan once spread a vicious rumor that Norris' first nest contained more eggs than hatchlings -- that she'd stuffed the runt of the clutch into a pitcher plant. There was no basis for this slander, but the clan's lair was suddenly beset by a great many more strangling vines than had been previously seen ....

Both of this Shadow dragon's hatchlings have gone into the service of the Lightweaver: her daughter Tweed is a scavenger-archaeologist for the deity, while her son Houndstooth is the keeper of tribute familiars at the Beacon.
