(Am-err-linn) (AKA Ami)

Former home: A certain Lightning Clan...
Position: Royal Noble: Amerlin is self-advertised as the son of the noble valkyrie Reilin, as if that's someone everyone should know. And if he keeps lauding her name everywhere he goes, people might just catch on and start recognizing it.
Relationships
Parents: (Ameran & Reilin): Amerlin doesn't have a particularly close connection to his father, so he was raised by the majority of his birthclan, and mainly, his mother. In his eyes, his mother is queen of the world, an incredible fighter, and the strongest dragoness he'll ever know. He sings her praises without shame.
Siblings:
(All): Amerlin has several half siblings due to his mother's unstable love life, though in her time with his father, she's had several children who are full siblings to him. He feels a little closer to those than the others.
(Amopé): Amerlin's younger full sister. He's generally sweet and doting towards her, despite her being over twice his size.
(Ferinix): Amerlin's oldest half brother, and a failing casanova if there ever was one. Amerlin puts up with his antics more than anything, but is more fond of him than he'd say out loud.
Mate:(Illima): Amerlin and Illima grew up together, being of a similar age, and in a tight-knit clan where everyone knows everyone, and Amerlin will admit that he can't remember a time he didn't love the Imperial. Though size stood in the way of him being taken seriously, as Illima grew up and far surpassed his height, he was still able to gain her attention enough to begin courting her. The two have been mates since before they left Lightning, though they never explicitly stated it themselves. One look at them is all anyone needs to know they're together.
Offspring:
(Biological): Although Amerlin and Illima have no hatchlings of their own, it's only a matter of time until they do.
(Samedi): After moving away to Wind with his fiance, Amerlin's mother sent the couple a Plague Egg. Hatching it as their first child, Samedi became a fiercely beloved member of their family.
Friends:
(All): Much like Vancerred, Amerlin left behind many friends in Lightning flight. The one he didn't leave behind, coincidentally, was Vancerred herself, who he reuinted with upon arriving in Wind flight.
Familiar:
(Psywurm): Amerlin has had this loyal familiar since he was young. He often has it by his side, except when Illima is taking that position.
Story
I Hail From Lightning, the Son of a Valkyrie...
The son of a champion Coliseum fighter who looks up to his mother as if she were royalty, and thus considers himself a prince. Amerlin was raised mostly alone by his mother, who would only leave him in the care of family friends long enough to take a band of promising exaltees into the wild. Every time, she would return with trained and hardened devotees - soon to serve the Stormcatcher - and enough food to last the entire clan a week. Amerlin's birthclan was one that lived to serve its deity, and his mother kept it running with awe-inspiring efficiency.
Amerlin's personality and choices in life reflect the environment he grew up in. He comes off as cold and efficient, not mincing words or motions, never wasting effort. He's formidable in battle and more than capable of training devotees or putting food on the table. Perhaps most notably, he has an incredible respect for dragonesses and treats the females in his new clan with honor. His mate is no exception.
Having grown up in an efficient machine of a clan, where little to no luxury existed, Amerlin now takes the time to spoil his love with every luxury he can lay his claws on, no matter if it's too much. He is a true blue Lightning dragon, yes. But he is a romantic, and before loyalty to his deity, he is loyal without end to those he cares most deeply about.

Valued Possessions: His familiar and his apparel from home. Amerlin has few possessions that he can't carry on his back, but these few are very precious to him. His birdskull necklace was crafted by his mother from her Coliseum bounties, and he's been wearing it ever since childhood.
Habits: Due to his notable contrast in size with his mate, Amerlin has taken to perching on top of her head, often on the bridge of her nose like the prow of a ship, and uses this as one of his main modes of transportation. Illima, when asked, finds it cute.
