i never did understand why did that little dragon ever dare to fly and swing and sway and dance and fly away one day without a backwards glance our clan was in danger, you see it was a famine, actually i didn't want him to starve and waste away i knew he definitely couldn't stay so i sent him to the great world unknown he would one day have to leave on his own to this day i am unsure what happened to him he danced and left without a whim oh yes, i hoped for his return and my heart pined to see my dearest hatchling that i would never find but never did he return day after day and night after night, til' my scales turned gray but the heart does mend yes, i will go on til' my life does end but never will forget that little dragon who danced that left without a backwards glance By: AHamilton |
Samhain
It is unknown why Samhain left his original home. Perhaps it was war, or famine, or simply wanderlust. One way or another, he began wandering the world, dancing for those who would watch. He was drawn in by music of all kinds, and keeps a multitude of songs in his mind, able to repeat them at any time by heart. He doesn’t need a reason to dance, he simply does.
He arrived to the clan alongside Naiae, and appears very close to the other Nocturne, though their actual relationship is a mystery. Samhain is a bit oblivious, and Naiae appears to be a bodyguard of sorts, helping the dancer with all things from hunting to pathfinding and everything in between.
When he dances, he is fluid and energetic, bright and glimmering… he commands the attention of all around him, enchanting and enthralling in equal measure. Capturing the emotion behind music is his only goal, and he is very good at it.
At his core, Samhain is one who believes fully in the power of music, and the connection it can form between people. One part oblivious and three parts content, bringing smiles to people’s faces is his only goal.
