A heavy winter snowstorm swept the lands of Sornieth extending even to the edges of the Behemoth. Fearing for the safety of her borders the Gladekeeper herself patrolled her snowy cliffs, and in each step she took a little of her magic was left to incubate under the snow. The dawning of Spring finally arrived, and the snow began to melt. In its final thaw an ice-covered dragon emerged from the magical footprints of the Gladekeeper. Its hide glistened like frost covered grass, and its wings and hide were stuck with snow. Thus were the Rimeguard born; icy heralds of Spring standing strong against the freezing clutches of Winter and proving that no matter the cold, Nature will emerge victorious.
