Mate of Orchid

He has a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics PlantQueen

Bio: Some of his earliest memories were bright flashes of light followed by an odd but slightly comforting smell. He was born into a Shadow clan of brilliant chemists and enthusiastic tricksters. Whenever he could get away from his calm and protective mother there was always an explosion to follow, from something he found that in his words "combusted interestingly".

There were just so many new materials to work with in their new home. He had a few scribbled notes from his early days with his mother's clan, but so many of them were nearly illegible. He decided while Orchid was working on controlling the chaos of moving an entire clan he would stay out from underfoot and investigate some of these new materials. He never thought simply gathering information would cause this much trouble.
*Firecoral sighed as the hatchling pulled on his newly returned beard and asked why it was a different color than all the rest of his fur*
He still had no clue why it didn't return the same color. It used to be the same color as his wings but now it resembled the pumpkins that Ginger was growing during the fall. Orchid still teased him about it from time to time.
He really should perform more controlled experiments with the brilliant bobtail squid ink to find out why it reacted in such a volatile fashion when exposed to fire. He supposed it was lucky that he discovered that particular reaction before the clan had set up any truly permanent buildings. At the time of the explosion he was by the lake at the edge of their newly claimed territory. He would have to create a new notebook soon. Dang that stuff stuck like napalm once it was burning. Only being do close to the lake saved him from loosing more than a beard and a book. Perhaps once the clan was more settled he would construct his new lab close to the water...just in case.
