⟨ Slavic Goddess of Winter & Death ⟩
"I created this fortress," the Guardian seethed, foam bubbling at the corners of her mouth. "Look! How its dark terraces gleam in the light. I carved it into the side of the mountain with my own talons. It was my strength that built the very foundation of this clan. The sheep that reside here can breathe easy because I so will it, for I am their Savior!" | _____________ |

Lore
Before becoming the devout figurehead to an unruly clan of brutish dragons, Morana started from nothing but ice and snow. Morana was snatched from her birth nest by a dragon intending to sell dragon eggs to the black market. As the carrier was transporting Morana and several other eggs through the far-off reaches of the Southern Icefield, they were overtaken by a sudden and violent storm. Unable to navigate through the blinding snow, the carrier's precious cargo was ripped from his claws and swallowed by the blizzard. Forced to abandon his spoils, the eggs were left to the mercy of the elements. It was shortly after the blizzard subsided that Morana broke open her eggshell. She remembers that her first breath of life was like swallowing shards of glass, the icy air ripping through her tiny throat and lungs. She'd cried out pitifully for comfort but there were no dragons around for miles to hear. Soon, her wails ceased as it dawned on her that no caretaker would be coming for her rescue. She was on her own. As hunger gnawed at her stomach, Morana's attention turned to survival. First, she ate the cooling husk of her eggshell. Then, over the following week, she devoured the frozen eggs of her unhatched companions. With dwindling resources, she would quickly learn to scavenge, hunt, and thrive in the frozen wasteland of the Southern Icefield. Alone. In this way, Morana never had time to question the tragic outset of her life, accepting that the world was what it was: empty, cruel, and cold. As Morana aged, her resilient spirit became an inspiration to those who met her. Dragons sought her out for protection and leadership. They mistook her guardianship for kindness and praised her as the Savior of the Southern Icefield. Infatuated by their praise, Morana dedicated herself to assembling a clan based on the virtue of survival of the fittest. During her lifetime, this clan would be her greatest accomplishment and her greatest obsession. |

Charge
Morana's sacred charge is the clan itself. Her innate sense of duty urges her to ensure its continued survival. As for its members, she presides over them with rabid devotion. In return she demands only complete loyalty to the clan's way of life, for a kingdom without dedicated subjects is no kingdom at all. | _____ |

Familiar
During a hunting trip, Morana came across a young elk huddled against the body of his dead mother. The malnourished calf would have been doomed to a similar fate, but Morana was charmed by the novelty of owning a living trophy and brought the Elk back to her estate. Now fully grown, the noble creature resides on the palace grounds, his impressive horns decorated with golden bands and his mane tied with elaborate braids. |

Morana: The Untamed
They tell me I'm a god, I'm lost in the facade
Six-feet off the ground at all times, I think I'm feelin' odd
No matter what I make, they never see mistakes
They tell me they're below me, I act like I'm above
The people blend together, but I would be lost without their love
Can you heal me? Have I gained too much?
When you become untouchable, you're unable to touch
~the living tombstone, my ordinary life
