Sometimes it can be hard being partnered with Samuel. His needs are few. Give him a ripe strawberry, give him a pocket mouse to cuddle up with, give him a place to take a nap, and what's left to desire?

Kyungsoon knows. Clown genes and red spines, that's what. Once a fellow dragon suggested to Samuel that he might look nice with tiger genes, and he considered it for one whole fraction of a millisecond before he decided against it. Nope, he says, be comfortable with who you are.

As far as Kyungsoon is concerned, she is comfortable with who she is.What's more comfortable than being a progen? None of that existential angst about what would have happened if your father-to-be had been distracted by a shrieking hippogriff at just the moment that your mom-to-be went ambling by. Instead, you know that the very forces of the universe conspired to bring you into being.

Nevertheless, says Kyungsoon, she could continue to be herself just fine with clown genes and red spines. Maybe even more herself. Why not make her outside match her inside?
