B I O G R A P H Y

______ Julianus is a dragon that is older than recorded dragon history. A Gaoler hailing from the Southern Icefields, he was found and enslaved long ago by the beastclans and used for slave labor and breeding fodder for a period of time spanning generations now long dead.

On attaining his freedom, he staggered into the Starwood Strand, beaten and bleeding-- nearly broken by his hardship-- to seek some place to die. Instead he found beautiful trees, glowing flowers, and an endless expanse of starry night sky.

He would find a cavern in the beautiful woods and lay himself down to rest. In his dreams he saw a great being of many arms and eyes that shone like stars. This beaming deity would scoop him up and say 'It's not your time yet, old one. There is yet much more you can do!'.

On waking, he'd found himself radiating arcane energy, and his magical ability had increased tenfold. Furthermore; he was no longer Gaoler! The entity had transformed him into a disguise that would make it easier for him to relate to modern breeds of dragons! Using this ability he has appeared as both a Skydancer and a Pearlcatcher.

Confused and conflicted, he became territorial of his new hiding spot, and used his newfound powers to defend it viciously. But it was there he would meet other dislocated and battered dragons, and seeing that so many others suffered as he did, he vowed to protect them. Over time, the Kelpie Clan was forged, and that cavern became a lair, and that lair became a school.

He would take up the mantle of High Magus; educating dragons of all ages and origins in the use and refinement of magical skill and application. For centuries he would keep vigil over the sick, the disabled, the lost, and the lonely.

___________Of his many children he would name a sole heir to his legacy; Corvus. Julian was not always the most emotionally nurturing of dragons, and was at times known to be incredibly cold to his young sons.

His need to be strong for his hatchlings and protect them often made Julian seem aloof and stern, because he did not want to bring his hatchlings fear. As the twins were born with an alarming concentration of magic, the hatchlings were a beacon for the Shade. The iceborn Magus would attempt to flee to his icy homelands to protect them, but wherever he took them, the fear of that looming threat never subsided.

Taking a calculated risk, Julian assembled other mages and cast an enchantment upon his youngest son (Cronus) to conceal his power and make him a less appealing target, but it left the hatchling scarred for life. Despite everything, Corvus looks up to his mother and is proud to follow in his footsteps as an arcane professor. Cronus, however, remains embittered to him.

He spent a brief time infatuated with a young Bogsneak named Karanvir. But his heart is eternally bound to a Ridgeback dragon named Razsha, who hailed from the land he once fled, and is the father of the twin sons Julian has raised.

Julianus would be a Gaoler still if FR would let me dress them lmao :^)
