When Marigold was a hatchling, she was carried into Moss Rain Monastery's main camp by an injured Tigerblood Foo. While the appearance of large wildlife was not unusual so deep in the Shrieking Wilds, the Foo was exceptionally well-kept -aside from its injuries- and it seemed unafraid of the dragons. At first the dragons of Moss Rain Monastery feared the worst, but the tiny hatchling stirred when the Tigerblood Foo placed Marigold gently on the ground. It was determined that the Tigerblood Foo was no threat and the dragons allowed the large familiar to stay with Marigold. Nymph sent out several of the fastest scouts to scour the area and make contact with neighboring clans to determine if anyone knew where Marigold could have come from. The scouts returned, but they had no information. No solid leads ever emerged, although some dragons speculated that Marigold had probably escaped some sort of tragedy that claimed the rest of her birth clan. Marigold was loved and cared for by the permanent residents of Moss Rain Monastery and in return Marigold grew up with a deep love and loyalty to her adopted clan. The Tigerblood Foo that had carried her became her constant companion, often accompanying the young Fae as she adventured through the Viridian Labyrinth. Marigold currently works to keep records of all of the travelers and translations that pass through Moss Rain Monastery. Marigold also spends several hours each day with Maple, tracking findings from the clan's patrols and scouting missions, down to any new, unusual flora or fauna found in the clan's territory.
