Cerin came to the clan in tears, clutching an arm bitten by an Opal Cobra, gems already sprouting over his hand. Oria found him first and brought him to Daybreak for the tonic to suppress the Gembond, and Cerin surprised Oria by saying he owed her his life. He claimed he'd been drawn to the clan by the feel that someone else there had been blessed with eternal life by a god, and Oria had―by the Lightweaver. Cerin had received his blessing through the Shadowbinder, putting Rosdor in the difficult position of choosing between her innate distrust of anything to do with the Shadowbinder (and word that Dove had mysteriously been unable to see Cerin arriving before Oria) and Oria's happiness (as she'd taken quite a liking to Cerin). Rosdor's final decision was that Cerin could stay, but only as Oria's attendant. Cerin agreed.

Mate: None―Cerin will always be too young for a mate.
