Biography

Jasper
Clan Builder and Architect
- Shy - Idealistic
- Creative - Hardworking
- Nervous - Sweet

Welcome to the Tribe! Might I show you around?
The tribe is situated in a large clearing encircled by massive trees. Thick plants grow tall between the trees, so unfriendly eyes can't see the tribe within. The entrance to the clan is through a tree, with a secret door on the outside.

The clan's living arrangements is split into three parts: the treetops, the surface and beneath the ground. In the aforementioned huge trees are large and very lovely tree houses with much finery in them, but the finest (and largest) house of them all is the home of the leaders Terebithia and Sirka. Terebithia decorated the home with the most beautiful things she has found, both dragon-made and from nature, so it's truly extravagant.

On the ground are huts of various sizes. The huts are usually constructed of tree bark, pine needles and colorful plants and flowers.

The infirmary and home of the tribe healer, Poinsettia, is a medium-sized hut made of birch bark and covered in ivy. The interior of the hut is airy and laced with the scents of herbs. Poinsettia has very natural (or 'old-fashioned', as some dragons say) bedding within the hut: soft mosses and springy grass.

Beneath the clearing are a network of caves that almost seem to be their own lair. There are accommodations for almost any flight and dragon species. There are larger meeting-caves and smaller homes in little neighborhoods (usually for one particular dragon species or flight). Most of what goes on belowground is unbeknownst to Terebithia and Sirka, allowing for more.. suspicious or even dangerous dragons to reside secretly in the safety of the clan.

The clan also boasts a relatively deep lake beyond its main lair. Water dragons live within its depths, living a small distance from the main lair but not entirely isolated. They go onto dry land for all clan meetings and sometimes during clan-wide meals. There's also a river connected to the lake that runs directly through the lair's clearing that dry-landers and water-dwellers alike play in, allowing for plenty of social time.

It is in this way very different dragons can come together as one tribe and together care and protect the Gladekeeper's land.

~~

Manzanita was left on the clan's doorstop, nameless, hurt and without memory. The young dragon was took in immediately by Poinsettia, who became a mother to the little dragon. They have a strange and beautiful connection, one of thoughts and actions. Being a Fae and a Coatl, they have difficulty communicating with words, but they speak through love. Other dragons sometimes translate for them, but they communicate with affection and a form of sign language that they invented. Poinsettia named her adopted daughter after a beautiful plant that endures throughout fire and drought. After spending about a week recovering with the aid of Poinsettia and a few other dragons, she ventured out into the clan. After looking about the clan, she decided that she wished to aid the construction of its lair. Under her watchful eye the clan is greatly improving in architecture and making beautiful homes. Manzanita is shy around strangers, but she's also brave and has learned to fend for herself. Planning out beautiful things is her passion, but fighting is something she could easily do. She guards the borders of the lair she helped create very closely and makes sure visiting strangers aren't hostile.
