Marlon the Mercurial is rather strange, even for a fae. Likely a quirk from their previous solidarity, their mutism isn't genetic, but rather a choice to forcibly playing charades with other dragons as a way of getting their point across. Luckily over time, most of the platoon members have learnt to parse their body language well enough to understand it without the need for verbal communication. But their strangeness does not simply stop there; oftentimes, those from outside the platoon would visit and react in various ways upon coming across crisp molted remains of black and pink skin on the floor, soaked in a pool of curiously Shade-colored goop. They've been told to clean up a lot of times, of course, but lately everyone has left the menial tasks to the iron golem's handling, and so their habits grew more unchecked.

As the head of the platoon's security team, Marlon is undoubtedly invaluable to their operations and can do more than hold their own in fights with those far beyond their size. They're surprisingly strong and will not hesitate to show those who doubt them of this fact. Even though they are mostly silent, they are outgoing and will make rounds across the base, intervening to stop trouble before it starts or quietly delighting on intruding in on a fight that they can quickly turn to their favour. Their hobbies include playing charades with strangers, or visiting members of the main force, just to see them squirm; doing barrel rolls in flower fields and coming back covered in petals and pollen; pulling apart organic items just to study their insides before discarding them; and reading the best kind of literature: classic fiction.

They are active all the time, usually engaged in one or more of these tasks. Safe to say, these habits leave most around them somewhere between wary and endeared. One of their other hobbies is collecting gemstones. During visits to the Crystal Pools they gather as many as they can, and at times would make whoever was accompanying them at the time carry more for them. They love the bright colors and has an entire room dedicated to stashing and showing off their collection of stones along with rows of beautiful potted plants they have joint custody over with Lionel. Strange or not, Marlon is an interesting character and the platoon simply wouldn't be the same without them.
