I wonder if anyone remembers the old Crossroads. You could only trade one dragon at a time, and then only for treasure OR gems (not both). And all trades were two-way, but confirmed by the recipient. If you wanted to trade items or pay a mixed payment, you had to send things by PM and hope the other person didn't go inactive or scam you.
