Biography
Quote:
“I honestly don’t understand how any dragon can be so handsome.”
Aether ducked his head a little, feigning shyness even though a sly smile crossed his face. He lived for compliments and they fueled his vanity to dangerous levels.
“Oh, you’re just saying that.”
“Not at all. Anyone would be lucky to be with a dragon such as you!”
“They would be, wouldn’t they?” The imperial lifted his head with a cocky grin. He tossed the dragon in front of him a wink.
The door to the dressing room opened and Abilene walked in, pausing in the doorway when she saw Aether standing there. He was oblivious to her presence and he tucked in his head toward his chest, twitching his whiskers suggestively.
“What are you doing?” The skydancer asked sharply.
Aether backed up, startled, and crashed into a rack of apparel. It fell over to scatter clothes everywhere, and his wing silks got caught on the rack and tugged half off. His head swiveled to his left and he stammered.
“I was, I…nothing!” He swept toward her and pushed her out of the dressing room. “This doesn’t concern you, I’m very busy!”
He slammed the door, this time setting the lock in place so he wouldn’t have anymore unwanted interruptions. Then he straightened up, shook off the wing silks, and sidled back over to the large mirror. His reflection stared back at him with the same flirty gaze that he gave it.
“Now, where were we?”
