Silica, previously Pamentea, is a very odd dragon. As a hatchling, she lived in a superstitious clan. From the moment of hatching her wings appeared strange and icy, and though they worked fine, Pamentea was forced to stay away from the other dragonets. She was not allowed to play with others and was raised in near solitude due to her clan's fear of bad luck. She escaped from this solitude under the cover of darkness, while her clan members were busy with a TrickMurk celebration. This was to be the first, but not the last time, Pamentea would leave one clan in search of another.
After a few days of walking, The young dragon collapsed by an unknown clan's border. Clan members found her and took her in. Things soon settled down, and everything was great for a while. Then one day, while Silica was training to be a healer, she was asked to look after an egg. To her horror, the egg shriveled up and turned to black powder upon her touching it. Silica ran away from that clan due to guilt. After a long time of running away from her past, Silica found the Clan of Red Wind. Although skeptical at first, she was glad to discover a clan that could finally accept her. She found a way to control her deadly claws and now serves the clan as both a healer and a warrior if needed. Silica's tongue is sharper than any sword. She is sarcastic and always ready for debate. She will readily argue about anything. most dragons in the clan tend to avoid expressing opinions around her because of this. |

Silica is often hard to befriend due to previous losses, but if you do crack her hard shell she will stand with you until the end. Her outward coldness is why she has no mate and few friends. If someone were to ask her, she would say that her friend is the clan itself and not just single dragons. This alone could show her loyalty. Silica's claws are a confusing case. Everything they touch shrivels up and turns black. Seeker, the clan's oracle, believes Silica is being punished in the form of the shade resting in her claws. some think she has a rare condition that is untreatable. Silica herself just sees them as a part of her. |
