Teru’s tale is a tragic one, filled with grief and wounds unhealed by time, but hopefully one that has finally reached a light at the end.

He was born long ago and across the sea. His full potential was never truly reached, for others saw what he could be and found it ugly and left it by the wayside. He was used to intimidate other clans and to breed fodder for his own. Time and again he was pushed at another dragon, often times he didn’t even know their names, and time and again he sired a nest.

He doesn’t know for sure how many offspring he’s fathered. He thinks it’s fourteen, but he could be wrong, he probably is if he’s honest with himself. He only knows the name of three of his children, completely by accident; two of them are long dead and one disappeared years passed. He doesn’t know the true fate of any of his children and so Teru says he has no children. Not anymore.

Ikol found him in a place of rescue. The Triarch was well known to travel even the smallest backroads in search of those who needed a place, a forever home until they passed on to the gods. Apparently there was something in the skinny old male that called the magnificent leader, and so Teru was brought to a new home. He was not asked to breed, nor fight nor do anything he didn’t wish. He was given food and water, apparel to show his inner spirit and a warm place to sleep.

For the first time since before he can remember, Teru was at peace.
