the Lotta

COURTEOUS ・ DEDICATED ・ SAGACIOUS

Rosmariini is one of clan's two official healers, and as she has more experience and has been longer with the clan than her co-worker Ohdake, she earned herself the title of the leading healer - the Lotta. Being a healer is not her only position as she also works as a herbalist, a potionmaker and somewhat as an alchemist as well alongside Ikaria, the clan's leading alchemist. Somehow after all this she also finds time to mix and brew teas, read on botany, practice her light- and nature-aligned magic and leave on weeks-long search trips for new plants, herbs and poisons. Many members of Queen's Revenge are almost envious of her seemingly never ending energy and time supply.

Scrawny little skydancer girl found a new home from Sunbeam Ruins to Southern Icefields when Rosmariini was just a couple of years old - just a babe still - and she made herself home easily enough, making friends in her new clan. She was never a fan of cold and dark and she kept vigorously an altar for her one true goddess, Lightweaver, while the clan lingered in Ice flight's territory. When clan begun to consider moving to calmer seas and fairer weathers, she was one of the most vocal supporters of moving to Mirrorlight Promenade. She is a devoted follower of her deity Lightweaver to this day.

Rosmariini doesn't find anything contradictory in mastering nature magic along her natural predisposition to light abilities - light is what allows nature to prosper and grow, after all. She has been excited about plants, herbs and their abilities and possibilities from a very young age, and was raised to the position of the clan's alchemist from an blasphemously young age. She did not stop at potions and poultices though, but continued her studies and followed with a promotion to the role of the Lotta, the leading healer, almost right after. Her role as the clan's alchemist was slowly relieved to a newer member of the clan, Ikaria, so that Rosmariini could focus on healing, potion brewing, poison crafting and tea mixing. It still doesn't stop her from collaborating with Ikaria as she's still fascinated by the process of the alchemy - she turns a blind eye for the dark price of some of the recipes, and doesn't ask where some of the ranch animals or lesser familiars sometimes disappear.
Rosmariini herself disappears often for weeks at a time on her journeys of acquiring new and exotic plants. Usually well preened and chaste, she emerges from her journeys eyes gleaming with molten gold, and mud, mold and leaves covering her ruffled feathers as she rushes to her study shared with the infirmary space to meticulously catalog everything she managed to collect. This became a habit of hers from very early on (as soon as she was of age, to be precise) and the clan quickly trained another healer for the times of Rosmariini's absence.

Between hexing items and plants alike with light and nature magic, brewing potions and poison, collecting herbs and healing the sick and wounded the young skydancer also finds passion in teas. She took a liking to bitter and sweet leaf drinks when she was just a hatchling, and at some point after becoming dissatisfied enough with bought, often stale tea assortments, she started to make her own mixes. Her tea assortments have begun somewhat sought after, and extra portions are sold more often than not at the clan's black market, much to her awe. Rosmariini regularly holds rather pleasant afternoon sittings with her friends and close ones where they change news and try and taste new tea assortments.

Her bondmate Rohto originates from the same clan Rosmariini herself was born in. She used to be a lonelier in the clan - dreaming of love sometimes like young dragons often do, but she shushed these thoughts away and dubbed them silly for quite some years. It didn't stop her from being shy and bashful and flushed when the clan had much to her surprise claimed the firstborn of a pair from a fellow light clan, not far away from Queen's Revenge's then nesting place. Young handsome ridgeback male arrived with a grand escort and was left at the pirate clan's grounds to grow up strong. Rosmariini did not spend that much of time with Rohto during his few first years with the clan as she knew she'd be more sisterly than anything to the young male, but she did spy sometimes him at the training fields, solemn and ever growing strong. It didn't take long for Rohto to be larger and taller than the still scrawny skydancer, and as he matured past the childhood the two began spending more and more time together. They took a liking to each other quickly, then fell in love sooner than both could have anticipated. Rohto is Rosmariini's personal guard along being her mate, did she want it or not, and doesn't let anything harm his much more fragile bondmate. Ridgeback accompanies the herbalist on her every search. Battle might not be Rosmariini's strongest suite but she is not weak - her sweet demeanor has fooled a few unfortunate enemies and rivals she has slayed. She holds knowledge of most if not all of poison types in Sornieth.
