Garafran has always known he was lucky when it came to his art. His clan was big enough to afford being supportive so he did his best to do the same. His mother doted on her oldest and whenever they went to art shows on the big balloon rafts, he'd spend his allowance on buying other's art. His own stand featured watercolor and calligraphy, some in large wall scrolls, others wide landscapes on the Plateau's misty mornings. He was not one to do anything small. He'd wake up before dawn to paint sunrises, watch a tree for hours to paint the birds nesting in it, or stand in creeks to get just the right angle.

But like many wind dragons, even a comfortable life couldn't keep him tied down for long. He loved his clan and he loved being able to afford to spend time on the art he loved, but new sights called to him. So he ended up taking on work as a cartographer, calling on his calligraphy skills. He traveled to study under a few other makers, yet more excuses to find new landscapes and inspirations.
