Biography

SAKIA
Wish Granter/Collector

Sakia has been cloaked in mystery ever since she had hatched from her wind-influenced egg. She'd been alone in the Starfall Isles since that moment, but she followed the ways of the territory where she was born. The Arcane dragons around were adept in magic and had a fascination with the stars. By quietly watching and persistently practicing, she managed to get in touch with her own element and wield her own magic.

When she was still young, she was having quite a hard time finding small animals to eat. In a cave of the Crystalspine Reaches, she found a colony of subterranean termites crawling all over the Sacridite that grew at the back, so she ate a large amount of them in desperation. They were gross and not very filling. Knowing that Sacridite was related to wishes, she wished hard for meatier prey... and, deep inside the cave, she found it; a nest of snakes to eat.

In the days after, Sakia felt herself pulled towards a nearby dragon clan, though she wasn't sure why. One of the youngsters, about her age, was crying because their pet Runic Bat had gone missing and hadn't been seen for a week. Without giving it much thought, as if it was instinct, Sakia began performing a magic spell of some kind, waving her glowing claws. Minutes later, the Bat returned to its owner. The clan's residents immediately suspected that Sakia had done it, and they ganged up on her, begging her to grant their wishes, too. Sakia took to the air, hurrying to avoid the fanatics who pursued her, flying high enough to nearly touch the rainbow that arched across the sky. She wished for camouflage, and her magic delivered, wrapping her up in rainbows as if she were one with the beautiful sight. They lost her and gave up then. When she emerged, the rainbow had solidified around her body into a loud, garish cloak.

The Sacridite in her body, which she'd ingested from the termites, drew her to clans that had wishes. Sakia tried to hide in the shadows, though she knew her rainbow guise would hamper the effectiveness of that. Instead, she would introduce herself as a weary traveler in need of a place to rest, never revealing her face. She would grant a few wishes in secret, then move on. She spent a good long time traveling across Sornieth. After awhile, though, she began to long for a clan to call her own, for someone she could reveal her secrets to. But where would she find a worthy clan?

In the Sunbeam Ruins, it turned out. It took a lot of active searching and silent research on Sakia's part, but she found a group of dragons worthy of her trust not to go wild after her. She introduced herself to the clan not as a weary traveler, but as a wish granter. Just as she expected, although they were puzzled, they didn't go fanatical about her. Instead, they let her go along her quiet business, collecting their wishes and granting them as she saw fit.

There is always an air of mystery around Sakia, about who she is, where she came from, but her presence and her powers remain appreciated to this day.
