He came into the world thinking life is great, yet one small thing had sealed his fate. His egg, abandoned so long ago, was purchased to leave the loneliness of one of the many males within the clan. However, the coin flip of birth made him, not the girl they sought. The elders discussed what to do with the young male. There were too many males in the clan already, some pointed out. Others held passionately to the clan teachings that all dragons should be accepted no matter what. They bickered endlessly for hours until an agreement was reached. They would list him on the market for the span of one week. If no brave clan sought after him now, he would be kept. To get rid of an abandoned hatchling twice was a horrible thing to even think of. Within a few days, Giovanni found himself being sent to a large water lair full of dragons found as abandoned eggs. There he stayed for two months, learning of the mysterious ways a fight was able to simultaneously exist and not exist at once. Yet, no matter how much he tried, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something missing. He decided that he shouldn't take the kindness of the others in his clan for granted and kept his hidden struggle silent. However, one day he got word that the clan that he hailed from was searching for him. They wanted to know what became of the small hatchling they sent away so long ago. It was then that he realized what was missing from his life. He wanted to know why he was forced to endure leaving home after home. Representatives from his birth clan came to his home to speak with their leader. After what seemed like an eternity, they came out of the room and gave him the choice to either return with them to the insane realm of the Arcane or to dwell with the mysterious Water clan that had taken him in. He struggled with this choice for an equally long amount of time. On one paw, he wanted to learn of how he was discovered and the ways of the clan who stood before him. On the other, they had abandoned him without explanation so long ago while his current clan had taken care of him without question. He looked inside himself for a long moment before deciding that he wanted to see the world in person, not just through a scrying mirror. With this choice behind him, Giovanni bid his clan farewell and set forth for a new life pathed by his choices.
