Chamois
Moonlight drowns out all but the brightest stars.
He was beautiful as a little hatchlin, bright eyes, charming smile, and then he left. He wanted a family for himself, awat from us. It didn’t last long and now he is back to us, my prince charming, i wish he would stay a little longer, but i dobout it, his eyes look at the sky, wanting more. thoughts from @aarunrein
Look at the stars,
Stars by Gareth LancasterWay up there, So very far away. High in the sky, They shine so white, And never seem to stray. Like little dots, Or specks of paint, Just floating up above. I wonder, What they do up there, And what they are made of. Are they just holes, Poked out the sky, By giants long ago? Or maybe they're, Electric lights, Strung up to make a show! So far up there, I'd like to be, To take a look first hand. To just get close, And have a peek, That really would be grand! The Dark, Blue Sea - Poem by George Gordon Byron There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but nature more, From these our interviews, in which I steal From all I may be, or have been before, To mingle with the universe, and feel What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal. |

Birth Lair: 201762, MiladyAdler
Lairs I've Visited:
hexidecimalHex: After spending time in the Tavern between Travels, it was only a matter of time before before Gryff felt the wanderlust as strong as Chamois. A wry smile from a dragon in the crowd was all it took for him to find himself travelling with Todlich to his patchwork of a clan.
ShepherdOfFire: Spent a few days with a warrior clan that dwelled in the Blackspand Annex. Here Wildclaws dominated most of the clan's population, but not entirely. Sadly none of his own kind no longer lived here. They had all left and gone their separate ways at different times. In spite of their almost barbaric way of living, the clan treated him like a honored guest by the leader's order. When it came time to leave he was given food to take with him and a flask filled with plenty of water.
Ethiera: Chamois flew west to the Windswept Plateau, where he found a fellow Coatl: A scribe named Melinoe. She had been putting up flyers (that she'd written herself) about her clan, Caer Ventus, once again opening to travellers. After some questions, he agreed to experience this 'famed Wind clan hospitality' for himself. He returned to their castle in the Twisting Crescendo, where he was welcomed and given a grand feast of the freshest Wind flight seafood they could provide. Before he took his leave, Melinoe presented him with a pack full of supplies and a little quote from one of her favourite authors. Chamois accepted the gift and set out again into the wilds of Sornieth.
Companhia: The Gladeveins is a beautiful place, even when this clan is rather weird, it only had two coatls who didn't even talk to me! I think that i should leave.. maybe go back to the focal point? I miss magic.
Zoomacroom: On his journey back to the Arcanist's domain, Chamois met a queenly Coatl headhuntress who told him tales of her clan, which nested under a strange and ancient obelisk in the Crystalspine Reaches. He was intrigued but unconvinced until he met Urrearia, the clan's seamstress, who was gentle, kind and very beautiful (for an Imperial giantess). Smitten, Chamois left with her for her home at Euskara Spire immediately, and they quickly welcomed their first clutch of eggs.
Though he did not intend to settle long in any one lair, the months and eventually years passed happily for him. He became accustom to some of the clans more idiosyncratic ways and enjoyed a life of privilege and ease, telling stories and singing leys in the feasting halls hewn into crystal caves. While his affection for her never wavered, eventually the passion between Urrearia and himself cooled, and he sought the company of several other pretty females in the lair -- as was the recruiter's design. Chamois' bloodline became prolific as he fathered more than 20 young dragons, spread across Sornia, and it was his children's travels that reminded him of his own wanderings and broke the stationary contentment he'd found in this lair and set his heart again to roam.
