Noble

Believe in yourself and follow your heart no matter how crazy or foolish your impulses may seem.

Noble was found by the warrior Nimbus after a bad snowstorm. A little tiny ball of dark grey fur, he seemed a plain hatchling, one in need of care and warmth. He was very young and very confused about where he had come from. When he dried out and opened his wings, a whisper of awe went through the room at the butterfly pattern with purple, green and blue hues. Having survived he was plainly a lucky hatchling and Ebony, the clan's Imperial hatchling minder, volunteered to raise him.

Hatchlings were kept inside because of the wild winds, but even before he was grown Noble was escaping the creche and exploring. He seemed to have been born without fear; knowing only a driving force of curiosity and anticipation. Ebony rescued him from deadly falls into wild winds what seemed like hundreds of times. She was vigilant, but he also seemed to be preternaturally lucky. The clan made it a priority to teach him to fly young, and finally he became an excellent, strong flyer. Ebony was lauded for getting him through to the stage of a young adult and was perhaps a little relieved to see him out of the creche.

Noble didn't get less curious as he got older. He wanted to know about everyone's jobs. He wanted to see the world. No one minded having him about as he exuded awe at their skills and willingly pitched in and tried to learn a little bit of everything. Even the poisonous Okopipi didn't frighten him and he somehow managed to avoid the poison that had felled several of her mates despite insisting he learn everything she knew about alchemy and spending a good amount of time rubbing shoulders with the Wildclaw.

Noble was a popular companion on trips, tagging along with the Peacekeepers constantly. It was a joy to show Noble anything new, he seemed full of wonder at the world and made each thing special again for the older dragons. Sometimes the wonder of the world got lost in focus on tasks or having seen a thing many times, but being with Noble made one look again because he never forgot to be amazed.

The young tundra never seemed to quite pick a profession of his own, but no one minded. His happy face was a welcome sight to them all, and he was considered as lucky as a Windsong. What he did was bring joy with his sweet presence, and perhaps that was a profession of its own sort.
