Born with beauty, Areana never had the chance to be with family as she was stolen away not long after hatching. The dragons that took her were a bad sort, a nomadic collection of like minded individuals that survived by raiding the clans they passed in their journeys.
Areana grew up in this band, serving their every whim and learning quickly of the harshest things in life. She learned that the best way to avoid abuse is to become the abuser instead. Many of the band became unknowingly wrapped around the young drakka's talons, enough to protect her from those jealous of her beauty or power.
When she reached adulthood these admirers proved invaluable in keeping the drakka off a nest. But with this influence Areana manipulated those beneath her and toppled many above her, becoming one of the most powerful members of the band.
