The Light Ambassador
Representative for Light interests, needs, beliefs and individuals within the clan.

Light: Providing With Light or Illumination
Soleil sits on the Elemental Council as the chosen Ambassador for the Light Flight within Clan Avarice. As well as being the foremost expert on Light lore, beliefs, needs, and morals, Soleil represents the interests of all Light-oriented dragons within the clan. The Elemental Council are 5th tier dragons in the hierarchy, although as Ambassadors and experts in their specific elements they command more respect than the average fifth tier dragon. The Elemental Council is advised by an Elemental Leader, who themselves sit under the guidance and control of The Diplomat, Azrael.

Soleil was the first dragon the young Avarice clan encountered as they crossed into Light territories, weary and travel-worn after a long trek from the Starfall Isles. A shining Skydancer bedecked in golden silks and marigolds, she was almost queenly in her countenance and grace, though she did not seem vain or self-important. Soleil, named for the light she revelled in, had been hatched in the Mirrorlight Promenade to a sun-cult which worshipped all things connected to the Light, including but not limited to the Lightweaver herself. She tutored for some time under a fanatical Light mage, but in the end she did not share these dragon's religious fervour and drifted apart from them. She remained deeply connected with the element of Light, however, and remained comfortably within the Lightweaver's territories. To this day, she has not set foot in another region.

The Avarice clan's early dragons met her at just the right time; she'd left her birth clan, and although not actively seeking a new clan Soleil knew it was easier to survive with one than alone. It was not difficult for Chaos, seeking a dragon to help them appeal to the Lightweaver and settle a new territory, to convince the Skydancer to join them permanently. She was anointed with the role of Light Ambassador at the same time; it seemed fitting, given her history and elemental connection.

While continuing to consider herself an unofficial Priestess of the Light, Soleil's duties are more practical than those of her old clan's. Like the other Elemental Ambassador's she serves the council, advises the highest ranked dragons on matters concerning the Light element, and represents other dragon's of the element and their interests. Although in theory all of the Elemental Council representatives are equal in rank, in reality Soleil naturally commands greater respect and awe simply because the clan is in Light territory and her knowledge is vital to their survival on a daily basis. It is not, however, in her nature to take advantage of this fact and she is enormously well-liked by her clanmates. Given everything that is known about this calm, elegant, scholarly dragon her choice of mate is certainly an unusual one, but it was shortly after her integration into the clan that she mated permanently with the Warlord. He seems the antithesis to her in every way but they are both powerful dragons, and their mutual respect for each other underscores their relationship - the strength of which has never wavered.
