AMHARA
The Mentor of the Exalted
SUMMARY
Amhara left her old clan at a very young age- mostly due to circumstances she rarely likes to talk about. What is apparent is that it was an unhealthy situation the imperial escaped, and that was when she found Spiritdawn, who quickly found herself growing to mentor and care for Amhara. Amhara, in turn, grew to love the clan and trained herself as a warrior in order to protect them. She turned her immense magical and physical strength into something she could use to protect her clan. Ever since, she has been responsible for training and organizing new warriors, as well as overseeing the exaltation of dragons.
A seasoned warrior, Amhara can come off as strict and oftentimes very serious. Underneath that veneer though, she is a kind hearted and gentle dragon. She loves her clan deeply, and wishes to protect the people in her life. Most of the young exaltees she trains, however, never sees this side of her, as it is a side of her that she only shows to dragons she knows well. |

HISTORY
Amhara was born into a powerful family that was head of a nature cult. Blessed with magical, golden blood with healing and growth properties, from a young age her blood was used in rituals. At first she was just as devoted as the others, but as she grew older she slowly learned about what had happened to her older siblings- and what was going to happen to her as she grew of age, now that she had a younger brother too. Amhara and her brother planned to escape, but she was the only one able to flee.
She found clan Rivensong when they were still in light territory, and was quickly adopted by Spiritdawn, who saw that she had been deeply impacted by her experiences and needed help. With the clan, Amhara was able to grow into a strong and confident warrior, with a strong urge to protect the dragons she cared about. She also chose to manage her magical blood and met the alchemist Oleana. Despite how different the two are, they eventually formed a quiet and steady romantic relationship. They can often be found spending time together and share a den. Amhara spends most of her days training exaltees or organizing the clan's warriors for guard duty. When not working, she spends time with those close to her. She has healed much since her days as a hatchling, but she still has scars beyond the golden ones that mark her body. She distrusts other imperials, and typically avoids the few others that are a part of the clan. The one thing she knows for sure is this- when the time comes, she will do anything to defend her clan.
