Captain of the Rogues

Quicksilver is a pirate if there ever was one. He enjoys looting, pillaging, drinking, and fathering an obscene number of offspring. (He has, in fact, had at least five five-egg nests.) He sails with the rest of the Rogues, captaining their fair vessel over the Sea of a Thousand Currents and to the territories of the flights surrounding it. Clans who see the ship coming, black flags whipping, blood-splattered and scarred captain at the helm and over the figurehead, retreat into their lairs and quake in fear. He pilots with his faithful Webwing on his shoulder, squawking out commands at the crew.

Some say he is a harsh captain - he doesn't take well to disloyalty, and several dragons who showed discontent have been known to go mysteriously missing - but he loves his crew and his ship more than anything, and will plunder at great lengths for their wellbeing. Even dragons who did not join the Rogues by choice, or intending to stay for long, have become loyal to him.

History

Quicksilver had humble beginnings. He was a member of Clan Naga for some time, rebellious in small ways - stealing from the food stores, borrowing others' boots for receptacles of homemade alcohol, literally taking candy from hatchlings - but not outright morally dubious. He trained with Vortex and Lector, learning some fighting techniques, but that was not enough to keep him in the clan. He craved the seas, freedom, and being able to get stuff without working for it.

One day, he simply picked up and left. Several of the clan members, awed by his leadership, followed. Quicksilver "borrowed" a ship at the edge of the Sunbeam Ruins, which would become their faithful vessel The Rogue, renamed for having left its previous owner much like the dragons who piloted it.

In his romantic adventures, he only once kept one of his children as a deckhand and accountant. However, the child was, in Quicksilver's opinion, weak and snivelling, and Quicksilver looked the other way when he was thrown over the edge of the ship. This act was done by Stormflash, who claimed to be his offspring. Sensing true strength, Quicksilver considers Stormflash his legitimate heir.
