B I O G R A P H Y

Nobody in the clan is sure exactly where Ren came from, other than somewhere in the Scarred Wasteland. He refuses to speak of his family with his clan-mates, and often just refuses to talk to most of them at all. He arrived to Umbral Rex after being saved from a near-fatal Raptorik attack by Shizen, and has ever since vowed to guard her to repay her. Although Shizen doesn't even need a personal guard, Ren is determined to keep his leader safe.

Ren is notorious in Umbral Rex for his temper, and destructive temper flares are a frequent occurrence with him around. He primarily takes out his anger on objects sitting around the lair, and his own den is full of destroyed items. Even though inanimate objects are the main victims of his temper, Ren has on occasion attacked clan-mates out of rage. One such victim was the Nocturne named Nobunaga. Ren had unleashed a vicious assault upon overhearing Nobunaga voicing a desire to take over the clan and thus remove Shizen from power. The fight that ensued destroyed sections of the lair, and was eventually broken up by Shizen herself and her adopted son, Fenris.

He is highly sensitive to his surroundings, and sensitive of other dragons' feelings, thoughts, and even their presence. He can easily feel it if someone enters a room, even if he isn't looking at the entrance to see their entry. He often uses his ability to keep tabs on others, making sure his leader is safe, even if he isn't physically there to protect her. He can also force his will onto others for short periods, but won't, simply because Shizen has told him not to.
