Lush pillows line the plump, downy bed. Ophelia lazes in the pile, looking out over the dawning day. There is still time left in the day. There is always time left in the day. She'll get out of bed eventually. Eventually.

Frantic knocking on the door. Miranda, probably, or Florizel asking for her opinion on his latest masterpiece. Ophelia groaned.

Here she was, the primadonna of the Sylfiden Opera Company, renowned far and wide for her beautiful, lilting singing voice, not being allowed to get her beauty sleep. She had to preserve her vocal chords for the performances tonight. Who is trying to bother her at this time of day?

Ah, the stage. The bright lights, all eyes on her. The quiet hush of anticipation before the first notes of Ophelia's aria soars above the heads of the audience. What a wonderful, exhilerating feeling. And how entranced the audience is during her performance, how deep their happiness after her song is over. A beautiful sight to behold. A wonderful feeling, almost as good as being in bed.

Oh, joy, the knocking still has not ceased. Ophelia slowly rises from her bed, the picture of poise and elegance, and opens the door.

Not Miranda demanding another coaching lesson, or Florizel with a freshly penned piece of music in hand. No, Robin stands before her, the nervous, shrinking stagehand.

"What is it?"

"T-Timon has called a meeting of the council members!"

Ophelia sighed and thanked the young dragon. This again, fussy old Timon. She slipped on her day cloak, taking one last longing look at her bed, before leaving, footsteps light as a feather.

"A diva needs her beauty rest..."
