Farstrider
The Seer
Foretells the future Arrived in the Clarus Clan on May 6th, 2016 Fear has surrounded Farstrider since he was born. The Sea of a Thousand Currents produces many seers, but Farstrider was the first from his family. They didn't understand why their child would stare into a pool of water for hours on end. When he wasn't staring, Farstrider spoke in tongues. His parents believed that they had upset the gods and their son had been cursed. He was kicked out. Farstrider was not fit for wandering. He couldn't ask for help and his parents never taught him how to navigate. He began to lose hope as the days bled into weeks. But the young dragon was in luck. One night while he was laying in front of a pool, Farstrider remembered all of the weird shapes he had seen, the sounds he had heard when he was a child. The whispers had told him of a clan of clarity; the visions showed a towering Willow tree cast in treacherous shadows. He questioned every dragon he came across about the location of the prophesied Clan. Farstrider finally met a dragon that had heard of this clan. The female Water Imperial told him that the Clan was located in the Viridian Labyrinth, specifically in the Gladeveins. A group called the Clarus Clan. She told him that the fastest, safest way to get to the clan was to wait at the edge of the Tangled Woods. There lived a set of twins who would gladly take him to his new Clan. Farstrider thanked the mysterious imperial and set off instantly for the Woods. |
Upon setting foot in the Tangled Woods, Farstrider was confused. Where were the twins that would help him? He was once again lost. He wandered for days before he arrived in the Wispwillow Grove. |
Two Coatls, who looked identical, rushed to help the sickly-looking Tundra. Farstrider's lack of survival skills had left him worse for wear but his spirit drove him past the point where others would have given up. The Coatls introduced themselves as Romulus and Remus, owners and solo employees of the Surgeling Delivery Service, Delivering Whatever That Needs 12 Hours A Day, 364 Days a Year. Farstrider couldn't make the journey with his poor health so Remus created a sling. The brothers tied the strings connected to the sling to their torsos and Far climbed into the center part. They carried him all the way to the Gladeveins. Farstrider received excellent care when he reached the Clarus Clan. While recovering, he told his new Clanmates of his visions of the clan. They did not fear his seer abilities and instead praised him. Farstrider began to train himself to control his powers. He has reached a point where he can glance into a pool of water and see another Clan. He can detail the Clan without losing his tongue. Aria has given Farstrider the job of checking up on allied clans and dragons who were originally from Clarus. He was proud to have found a place where he was loved for his abilities instead of feared. |
