Element-
Wind

Title-
- Clan Messenger
- Soldier

History-

So, everyone knows that Spirals are the perfect dragons for the sky. If you don’t know that, you don’t know much. What is plausible for you not to know is how this young Spiral ended up in an Ice clan when he lived for the sky. Let’s examine that, shall we?

Wan was born to a clan of Wind dragons who traveled every single day, for miles and miles at a time. As a hatchling, he would just stare at the sky, all day long. Never in his life did he dream of anything but the freedom of soaring through the air and never having to rely on anyone.

The thing is, one of his wings turned out with a twisted vertebrae. The Mages in his clan told him that he would never be able to fly because of it. The young Spiral was heartbroken, and tried everything to convince himself that it wasn’t true. But as he looked at his crooked wing, he knew it was.

Poor Wan cried himself to sleep that night. He was too young to have his only dream torn from him, but the baby Spiral would have to suffer through his life without ever taking to the sky. He sniffled slightly, waking his mother, who held him as she rocked him to sleep. He dreamed about flying.

It was a terrible, horrid fate upon waking. The clan was in chaos. They’d received a message overnight declaring war, and now everyone was preparing. The rival clan rushed into their territory before they were ready. It was a massacre. All the dragons in the clan were killed. And being a hatchling, there was nothing that the young Wan could do about it. Instead, he cowered in a cave until all was silent.

After crying over the corpses of his family, he took the battle armor of his father, and he put it on. It was far too large, but seeing as how he wasn’t going to fly, Wan didn’t care. He lugged the giant suit of armor around on his body for weeks before he grew into it. When he did, he held his head high for the first time in his life.

He ended up in a Wind clan’s territory, which was filled with powerful Mages. He told them of the horrors he’d been through, and they offered to fix his problem with flying. He agreed before they told him the price. What he had to give in exchange was something that most dragons would refuse.

Wan would have to give up his mortality. In that, they would have to give him a spell that would make him immortal, and therefore, perfect. He did not change his mind. He just wanted to be free of what had just happened to him. Therefore, the Mages gave him a spell that would keep him from dying… ever. Even if it was what he wanted. Most would say that it was yet another terrible fate, but as Wan unfurled his wings, and as he shot up into the sky, he had never been happier.

One day he landed in the Ice territory to rest while traveling, and he saw a shivering hatchling, lost in the cold. He picked it up and took it around until he found its clan. When he did, he couldn’t help but notice how every dragon in the clan seemed to get along well and care for one another. He humbly asked permission to join, as he still had no official clan, and he was pleasantly surprise when he was granted it. Ever since, he has been flying most of his days, always in the air.

Personality-

Wan, in case you haven’t already got that, is a dragon who despises being stuck on the ground. He also has problems conforming to authority, and he tends to be rebellious, even to those he highly respects. Nothing personal, just the way he was raised. He values freedom above all other things in life.

He was born for the sky, even despite his twisted wing. Nothing makes him happier than flying all day long, and he is very daring and adventurous because of it. There are very few things he fears, and quite honestly, because of his recently acquired immortality, this dragon is reckless.

He doesn’t need to think about what he’s going to do, and whether it’s going to get him hurt, so that leads him to do some pretty crazy things. Wan loves to break rules and have a good time while doing it. He also loves to “dance on the edge of danger,” in that he will taunt enemies and do extremely stupid things just to get a good thrill out of it. Everyone seems to find that annoying, for some reason.

Wan is pretty outgoing. He has no problem walking up to a complete stranger, but then, not being able to die, he’s going to have to learn how to make new friends. Which he did. This young Spiral still has a lot to learn, and a lot of time to learn it. He doesn’t think before he acts, and sometimes, that has been known to accidentally get others hurt. It’s not something he can control, however. It’s just part of who he is.

He also thinks quite highly of himself. As in, he’s proud. And not in the best way. He may be a little arrogant and overly confident in himself, but that’s probably due to the immortality. I would assume it could do that to someone. After all, if fame can get to someone’s head, why not invincibility?

He is very loyal, however. If there is something he believes in, including his clan, he will stand by it forever. The loyalty leads to a protectiveness that makes him seem more like an older brother than a fellow soldier. But most dragons would agree that that characteristic is what they love best about him.

Mate-
No official mate, currently
(Probably never will have an official mate, unless he finds another dragon who is immortal, like him)

Likes-

The sky, flying, playing tricks, doing air sports, , traveling, the color green (no surprise there), battling, training, teaching others, talking and socializing with new dragons, learning, training, talking about current events

Dislikes-

Being held down, nightmares about his past, being threatened with the safety of his clan, the color red (all of his nightmares are splattered with red), super heavy weapons like swords and shields, being trapped, not knowing something that a lot of others know

Fears-

The inevitable fact of eternity, losing his ability to fly, watching those he loves die (again), insanity

Current Life-

Currently, Wan is a soldier. And he is a good one. Since he cannot die, he is able to carry out excellent and complicated battle charges and never get a scratch on him. This makes him a very valuable warrior. He is also an advisor to the clan leader, helping make important decisions. He also helps the other dragons in the clan resolve conflict among themselves. But his favorite job by far is being a messenger. He loves to travel about and deliver his messages to other clans. After all, traveling is one of his favorite things to do.

Wan has a strong relationship with most of the members of the clan. He is very happy with this life, but he fears what will come after all of these dragons are long gone. He tries not to think about it. Most of his clanmates find him agreeable, although there are some who think he is annoying. Those dragons are typically the ones who battle alongside him.

Wan is not currently looking to fall in love. Unless his mate is like him: Immortal. He can barely stand the thought of losing all these friends. The loss of someone he was in love with would be too much to bear. He is kind of a father to the clan.
