Breiries

Art by Werpwerp, from Draw a Dragon Badly thread
The handsome coatl with the shimmering green wings known as Breiries was born to Vitoreva, the clan’s first matriarch, and Sigurd. Many of his other siblings were sent to serve the Gladekeeper soon after birth, and Breiries has little memory of them. His father, Sigurd, became jealous of Breiries’ beautiful colors and tried to send him to the Gladekeeper as well. His mother, however, would not allow it and kept the young Breiries’ under a watchful eye. After Sigurd was told to leave the clan and serve the Gladekeeper Breiries’ mother no longer had to worry about Sigurd’s jealousy bringing harm to her precious child. Soon after Sigurd’s departure, Breiries grew his beautiful plumage of Coatl feathers and became a handsome adult Coatl and was honored with a dazzling green pendant from his mother. The pendant is not only a reminder of his family, but of the green forests of the Gladekeeper’s realm.

Unlike his birth father, he happily followed Ciraharit as his patriarch and has done his best to make sure jealousy never envelopes himself. Until the forced move to Earth, Breiries followed Ciraharit willingly and loyally and now with a new leader Breiries still does his best to appease whomever it may be.

He has the capacity to be a great leader, perhaps even the clan’s next patriarch, however, his short attention span and willingness to serve (rather than rule) is the only thing preventing him from doing so. His only remaining brother, Lovet, just lacks the desire to lead, despite encouraging thoughts from Breiries.
