Neirin is the younger sister of Iwi and deeply connected to nature. The young girl wandered the Shifting Expanse, always looking for plantlife that hasn't been tainted by the constant exploitation in the realm of the Stormcatcher. There were no flowers, no pretty bushes, all plantlife there was optimized to give the dragons enough energy to work even harder.

Moved by Neirins' sadness, her mother, Gloss, wrote to her eldest daughter Iwi. She found her home and happiness in the Starwood Strand and so Gloss suggested that Neirin went there, too. In exchange for the young girl Iwi sent her daughter Aria back to her parents so she would grow up under their ever watchful eyes.

While travelling to the north, Neirin bathed in all of the new sights. Flowers, just there to look pretty! Trees, not being chopped down for wood, but there to soothe the soul! Wandering through a dark forest, she found herself soon accompanied by a shining light. A spirit of nature found to her and since then, Neirin and the Sprite aren't seperatable.

Soon, Neirin was welcomed into the clan of her sister. Starting as an acolyte at the temple she soon rose to the position of Head Gardnener - a job she takes very seriously and with all the fervor and the working ethics of a true Lightning dragon.

She has no eyes for boys and has vowed herself to her cause - to make the world a bit brighter each day.
