Biography

This is Vladimir, Vlad for short. He may look like a terrifying dragon and like he's murderous or violent, but in all reality, he's a sweet heart that wouldn't hurt a fly. He loves helping others. Those who don't judge him by his cover and actually talk to him realize just how nice and caring he genuinely is. He's very easily entertained. Simple things like helping care for the hatchlings, organizing things, and even moving rocks can entertain him and make him happy. He's also very determined. If he sets a goal or needs to do something he will put everything into doing so. No matter how difficult a task is, he will somehow manage to get the job done.

I'm not 100% sure but I think I'm going to make him a medic because I've been trying to figure out an excuse as to why he has bandages and over all is stained with blood. Ik he's the type of guy that would care for the injures received while dragons are in the coliseum sooo... yea. xD

Song- Monster by Imagine Dragons

Misunderstanding, as far as I know, happens not very often. I am the one exception to this unspoken rule. Everyone else does not seem to know who I am, but I don’t blame them. I myself question why I’m here, why I decided to join this clan. Maybe because that was a time when I was desperate, a time where I did not think of the consequences of my actions. I wish I had wandered further. I wish I would have found a better place to stay. Don’t get me wrong, they take care of me here. They just don’t like me.

Now that I think of it, though, I think it would be like that wherever I went. There are always those few dragons that do not like anyone, and there are always those few who like some but hate others. It’s just the way our world spins around, I suppose. Sometimes I wish that I could fly away, that I could escape and be free. I can’t, though. It would pain me if I left, and I would feel guilt wherever I went. Despite everything, I do have friends here. There are dragons who understand me, dragons that I love. They might not love me back, but they are there for me when I need help.

Which, in short, is often. I try not to be a bother, I really do, but it’s hard sometimes, with all the things that are wrong with me. I just hope they will not turn their backs on me, like my old clan did. They don’t fully understand the pain I’ve gone through, but I trust them nonetheless. I would never give up on them. I just hope they will never give up on me.

The day of the battle was horrible. The whole clan had been training, even the hatchlings that would not be attacking. An ambush was inevitable, and winning was close to impossible. In a small den on the edge of the clan, one of the bravest warriors, Vladimir, was pacing. This was not normal for him. He didn’t want to fight. He didn’t want to lose the few loved ones he had. But the attack was needed. His clan was starving. So many things were lacking, and it was up to him, the chief commander, to take back what was theirs.

The problem was that he didn’t want to. Most dragons thought of him as one of the braver members of the clan. Truth be told, he wasn’t. Not at all. He was cowardly. He didn’t know what to do, how to fight. He knew how to talk and persuade others. That was part of the campaign, after all. Speaking. That was why he was elected. Speaking. Not his non-existent fighting skills.

And, on top of all of that, Vladimir questioned things. He was curious about everything, too curious. Plus, he got sidetracked. There were so many things wrong with him, too many to count. Yet he was here, in the midst of a battle-ready clan, filled with dragons that were nothing like him.

It was odd how the world worked, wasn’t it? He thought so, lost in thought as he grabbed his longsword off the wall and raced out the door. At high-sun, they would meet at the gates. One quick glance at the sky as he raced out the doorway with his heavy footsteps told him he would be late. By the time he was at the entrance to the clan’s territory, everyone else was already there.

As he landed, a collective groan came from his troop. “Come on.” He said, ignoring them. “We need to get out there.” The commander took off once again, and the dragons of his troop slowly took off after him. They were all armed, ready. He… He wasn’t at all. The city of the opposing clan was in the distance now. He tried to make himself more confident, more battle-ready. He couldn’t. He just couldn’t. This was not for him, he knew it wasn’t.

In the midst of the battle, when he was scared, bloody, and broken, he flew away. No one noticed. He emerged from his old life stronger, smarter, tougher, and in general a better dragon from before.

He has only a few regrets.
