Despite being a shadow dragon, Zuriel is actually very resentful and fearful of it. He has faced many hardships wandering the depths of darkness as a hatchling, accidentally wandering too far from his nest, and the events troubled him deeply. He now strives to spread the light, to dispel the fear he feels that Shadow brings. He is quite anxious around that element, though he tries to mask it from others. Originally, he is a bit uptight and rigid, but through his embrace of Light, he is quite friendly; once he befriends someone, he is extremely loyal and will defend them with his life. He can be quite talkative and amiable and thoroughly enjoys socializing with others. He has been known to host lavish gatherings.

Zuriel spends a lot of time mixing potions to create luminescent materials, such as a type of glowing liquid to be used in lanterns. His current project is creating imbued crystals that dispel the murky shadows, clearing the air and filling the surrounding area with a protective aura of light. His other specialty is creating regenerative and healing concoctions.

Zuriel is known as the Lightbringer.
