Biography
An old imperial who was an arcane scholar in her youth, but has since retired to the outskirts of Terraclae to tend to her sprawling vineyard. Since she is both long lived and from the arcane lands, little surprises her nowadays. She wears her skin as a reminder of the old days. She is Terra's adoptive mother, fondly remembering the days where the little obelisk cub would run and play through the vines, coming home to a snack of fragrant grapes and fresh squeezed juice in the evening. Terra has fond memories of her mother's grapes, and so does Gustav!
Crescent Vineyard is located on the outskirts of Terraclae, near the point where the domains of earth, nature, and shadow meet. It specializes in concord grapes, though a few other varieties are grown too. Grapes aren't the only export- jams, preserves, leaves, and juices are also produced. But none are as popular as the wines, of course. Used for ceremonies and celebrations or by dragons simply wishing to have a nice drink, the wines are finely aged by their long-lived creator. Dragons from all over Sornieth buy from Crescent, giving it a very good reputation.
Whenever Aerfen has a batch ready, they sell out quickly. For especially valuable wines, such as ones aged for many years, there may actually be lines forming at the vineyard gates, some even camping out there the night before. This is also the reason why Aerfen has had problems with thieves in the past, who would try to steal her famous wine to resell. Luckily, Aerfen herself is a strong and alert dragon. Terra and Gustav are no slouches either, happy to be Aerfen's guards whenever they come by. However, Aerfen still needs the extra guardwork when they aren't around, and that's where Markus comes in. Aerfen pays him well to fend off thieves and vineyard pests, and shares some of her grapes and products with him as well.
