Main Theme:Slip out the back.
When Rise was just a hatchling he was kidnapped from his home by shadow dragons. His home clan had been fighting with this particular of shadow dragons for quite some time, but no one expected them to resort to such measures. The dragons were planning on sacrificing him to the Shadowbinder. He manage to escape by surprising his captors with a bit of harmless flash magic. He never manage to find his way back home, but he did find the clan that his grandparents called home. He stayed there and was taught the ways of magic by his great-grandmother.

Though usually a laid-back, jovial, humble and eccentric dragon, Rise shows a deceptively cunning and serious side when the situation warrants it. He commonly uses idle conversation and outward concern to distract his opponents. Despite his care-free attitude, he always speaks politely, but is sometimes sarcastic. He rarely shows what he truly feels, after what happened when he was young he has a hard time trusting people. This doesn't stop him from having the occasional inconsequential fling. He loves to mate, he just doesn't want to stick around to form an emotional bond.

Rise never likes to stay in one place too long. He tends to leave before he developed any serious relationships. The exception being his great-grandmother. She taught him everything and he would fiercely protect her from any harm. So Rise decided to become a traveling magician, he'd still visit home of course, but he felt restless and wanted to see how other dragons lived.

Today's the day. I'm finally leaving my grandmothers lair. I said my goodbyes and I set off for my first adventure.

Landing in the Starfall islands Rise was not surprised to see the tower at all. It loomed above the cloud line, sparks coming off the many magical protections he could sense. As he was looking up with interest at the towers many blast holes he didn't notice the wildclaw appear.
Introductions we almost too fast for Rise to follow but he caught the brightly coloured dragons name, Remy lead him to the main entrance chattering as he went about everything and everyone it seemed. Rise allowed himself a little chuckle at the Wildclaws willingness to chatter away. After a quick tour and being shown to his sleeping quarters for the duration of his stay Rise was left to do whatever he wanted...

Left to do whatever he pleased Rise explored the main part of the tower, having found the dungeon access blocked. On attempting to enter the library he was glared at by a coatl that ran it but he was able to find some interesting volumes to look at for a while. He only chose to stay there as it seemed to be the busiest place apart from the main hall.
Observing the other dragons go about their duty's Rise found Remy constantly asking him if he needed help. The chatty wildclaw somehow talked Rise into preforming to the rest of the clan despite his protests. His magic seemed to go over quite well with those gathered, gathering him quite a little group that wanted to talk to him. Neroli even gifted him a delightful addition to his hat while Remy "borrowed" and accent to make him more magical.
They where sad to see him go.

The next lair Rise visited, a small one in the Scarred Wasteland, was a relatively quiet lair. Not much happened in his time there, though he did wonder how most of the dragons got along, with all their wildly different personalities. Of course, there were the occasional arguments among them, most being between a spiral that looked like a zombie and a purple mirror. Unfortunately, he did have to leave the small clan earlier than he'd have liked as one or two of the dragons were uncomfortable with his magic after he'd shown the clan.

Rise had expected his trip to the Icefield to be dull, at the very best. His hosts, he was told, even resided in the Frigid Flows, by far the most unbearable part of the Ice domain. But he could not call himself a traveler while ignoring one of the major flights, and this clan was one of the few out of many to take the wizard in. Many other dragons in the more colder regions, unsurprisingly, were unwelcoming and plain hostile to strangers. Rise considered himself lucky that he even managed to find one clan willing to host him for a short time, at least.

The skydancer, however, was quite surprised when he landed at the island he would be staying at, referred to by the residents as "The Precipice." Throughout his journey, Rise documented his several adventures in a small journal given to him by one of the leaders for the express purpose of documenting his visit.

While his stay at the Precipice was much more controlled and planned than his past visits, with strict regulations and even a requirement to wear proper eyepeices at all times, Rise did spend much of his time studying under the resident magicians, a Skydancer, who was probably the most sane of the bunch, and a much more unhinged Ridgeback. Studying the magic that the command used was well worth the oddities, as the island seemed to manifest it in bursts, and in much larger and stranger quantities than the mainland, or even the rest of the Icefield.

After several days studding in turn with the Copperheads and the Sidewinders (and one wild day in the Dire Woods that resulted in two young hatchlings that resemble him greatly that appeared to rise directly out of the Woods. He refuses to speak of what happened there), Rise found that he was beginning to overstay his welcome. Though interesting, he and his new acquaintances could not reach any breakthroughs in either the origin or possible harnessing of the strange fields of the Precipice. He parted from the island without much of a fuss from the residents (except, perhaps, for Poe- they might not have gotten close enough to be considered "friends," but Poe would miss having someone to compare notes with), and bringing with him only the memory of his stay, the journal of his adventures, and a single, black claw-blade that had aided him more than he had originally expected.

Rise wandered to Clan AXQU next, where he was welcomed by Oskar, a plucky but simple seeming wildclaw who happily showed him around the public parts of the lair. Rise was dazzled by all the advanced technology around him, and absolutely wanted to know more, but his companion didn't seem to know anything. All around him, the clan was hard at work on things Rise had never even seen before, and the sense of strong magics being worked and so much energy was almost overwhelming. Next, he was taken to the lair's Archivist. Rise wanted to find out what this militaristic clan wanted from him, and why he could feel a massive, corrupt aura emanating from the center of the lair... but Leaper was nothing but cryptic. His stay was pleasant but somehow... empty... and Rise was not going to stand for that. He'd been fed lovely gourmet food, and treated to the finest soft silks... spoiled, really. He wanted information, though, and he knew Clan AXQU had a lot of it. He had been warned by Oskar not to stray out of the public spaces into classified areas, but he figured with his natural Skydancer sense of others and his sneaky ways, he'd be okay. Rise had been an experienced sweet talker and sneak for longer than some of the younger dragons had been alive, and besides, he could flash away from anyone that came after him. He figured, he'd be fine. What was the worst that could happen? He'd heard hints of an Arcane reactor, and of something much more sinister... well, Rise didn't get three steps over the yellow line marking Clan AXQU's classified area when his world went dark. He didn't even have time to feel the blow. He woke up several days later to a brown eyed wildclaw standing over him, a small smile on her face. "Oh good, you're awake. You're lucky Fiver's so skilled. Another centimeter lower and he'd have caved the entire back of your skull in." Rise groaned and shifted, his world spinning a bit. He seemed to be... in a cage? No, that wasn't right. A cell. A frigid cell. "I'm not going to lie to you, you made a very bad decision," the wildclaw continued. "Fiver, our head general, wanted to kill you. Hezom, our head engineer, very likely would have had you reached his lab. Ivanna, our lair's third in command, was the one to point out that you hadn't seen anything yet. She saved your life." The healer gave Rise a small dose of healing magic. "There are going to be a few dragons coming here in a few minutes to escort you from Clan AXQU's territory. Don't try to slip away from them, nor fight them, nor talk to them, or you will either be killed or dragged back to the dungeon." She winked and thumped him on the side. "Careful about flying too high or too fast for a while. You're gonna have a really nasty concussion for a few days. Might make it harder to concentrate or cast, too. We're a secretive bunch, but trust me, it's not personal. We've just got a lot that, for everyone's safety including guests', we can't have exposed." Rise was escorted from the territory without incident. He wanted to know the secrets of Clan AXQU, but in any case, he would most definitely not be coming back.

After recovering from his concussion, Rise somehow found himself in the Tangled Wood. He had a rough introduction to the clan who's territory he had landed in (-thank you, concussed Rise-), but after clearing things up with the clan leader he was welcomed warmly. Though after his last misadventure, the Skydancer was understandably wary; the strange aura these dragons gave off certainly didn't help his slight paranoia either. Regardless, he smiled and accepted the tail tassel he was given as 'protection', exchanged pleasantries with the more sociable members, and shared an uncomfortable meal with the ever-smiling Guardian who was the apparent leader. After a day or two (and after getting used to the off-putting presence most of the clan had), Rise managed to relax enough to begin poking around and exploring more of the lair. No one moved to stop him from his explorations, but he felt unseen eyes watching him every time he was around the leader, Anathema, or moving to more 'restricted' areas. The only place he couldn't get into was the Crypt. Despite this, he managed to find out from the chatty Adviser that the restriction was mostly due to the leader's Charge being located somewhere within the caverns of the place. This prompted him to leave that area be, as he had no intentions of somehow invoking the wrath of a protective Guardian. Instead he focused on finding out the reason for the strange runes most of the clan bore, whether they were on jewelry, clothing, or just painted on their bodies. Sadly, he felt that he had overstayed his welcome after a week had passed, and the only thing he managed to discover was that some of the clan had 'unstable forms'. Despite this, Rise left this strange clan in high spirits (and with a full stomach) due to the party held to send him off. The new accessory on his tail served as a reminder of his time at the Abyssal Sanctum as he maneuvered his way out of their territory, and the fading music followed him on his way.
