 Skywalker  strength is beauty
The first time she saw a representative from a shadow clan, she had to blink a few times. She had seen other shadow dragons, sure, but a representative that looked so much like herself? She began asking questions and soon enough the rep had let slip that she knew a clan looking for more members deep within the Tangled Woods. Having spent a great deal of time in her light clan's library reading about the many different clans and their affiliations with the gods, Skywalker was only too eager to accept this offer. She spoke with the leader of her first clan, thanked them for all the opportunities and the kindness shown to her by all the dragons there. Then she gathered her things and began the journey back to the Shadowbinder's territory with her representative. Soon enough Skywalker and the shadow rep came into the territory that her body told her had always been home. How long had it been? Months, years, decades, even a century since her egg left these borders? Now, as a fully grown dragon, she was returning. The darkness of the Woods after the brilliance of the Ruins gave her chills, raising the feathers along her crest as she entered what would become her true home. The rep brought her to a good sized clan, filled with an assortment of dragons who would come to be her family. There were many scientists, working away in secretive areas and parading their works when they had been completed. This interested Skywalker as she had not yet seen a breed change performed, or a gene applied to the skin of a freshly bare flank. Another newcomer to the clan would soon catch her attention - Clover, a green dragon who had at one point been a mirror. Having undergone experiments at the claws of the clan's scientists, he was now a beautiful coatl with brilliant ruby eyes and an eye on becoming stronger. Skywalker felt that he had the right idea, becoming stronger and doing her best to fight for the clan. This gave her reason to also train with the clan's fighters. They laughed at her for a while until she started to surpass many of them in her skills. The laughter became a grudging respect as Skywalker became a powerful force within the clan. She still enjoys to read, often coming across old books in her training and protection patrols. These she hoards in her lair to read later under the faint glow of a fairy light. Each night before retiring to her lair, she challenges herself to capture fairies for her lights and each morning she releases them with a small meal and well wishes. The relationship is surprisingly mutual, although the fairies never willingly allow themselves to be captured. The best books are read under fairy light, while the tiny creatures chatter to themselves and flit restlessly along the lantern. It is not just her strength that makes Skywalker a valued member of the clan. It is her beauty and her intelligence as well. Since she spends so much time learning and grew up under the influence of a light clan, she is often considered the go to for literary questions. Many dragons seek her out for advice or information and she willingly gives them what she has. Though she will never part with a book, she will allow others to read them under her supervision. She also copies pages by paw, selling these for a small profit to keep herself fed and comfortable. |
