He was never one to play by the rules. For his entire life, he lived in the shadows, hiding from the spotlight, and as he aged, his love for the shadows grew. He was invisible, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

His beloved shadows hid his movements from view, and as a hatchling, he would steal into another’s den and snatch something. Small things, insignificant trinkets. But as his successes grew, he became bolder.

He began targeting more valuable items: gold, gems, scrolls, anything he could get his hands on. He hid his treasures in stashes buried so deep, hidden so completely that even the best trackers couldn't get a whiff of these stolen treasures.

No one has ever caught him in the act of stealing. Some have gone so far as to trail the Fae in the hopes of glimpsing him in the act. Though by the time the dawn light touched the horizon the next morning, there'd be no trace of these curious dragons.

The shadows, after all, protect their Own.
