Tetra avoided her parents as much as she could.
Her father didn't make it difficult, holed away in his library for weeks on end he might've forgot he ever even had children if not for her son, Tomo, being his apprentice. And her mother? She too frequently forgot she had any other children but Tetra's oh-so-perfect brother, Nebulo.
Though she didn't envy her son or brother, in fact she thanked them for the distraction. Because of them she never had to sneak off to the training grounds; no one was looking. She spent four long years learning to fight, four long years preparing to leave. She loved the family the wasn't her own, all of Adavar except her parents, but the caves were stifling and she couldn't stay. Leaving them wouldn't be easy but nothing ever was, she knew that, and she also knew that asking the Keeper if she could even leave wouldn't be easy. So she chose the hardest thing.
She left one day, her departure muffled by the hustle and bustle of her birthclan, no goodbyes, no note, no asking for permission. Just love in her heart and a vow to never return.
And sometimes she wonders what became of her parents and children...
