Kiba's egg was found by a Slight Eyewing, and the celestial bird hatched her in its nest. Kiba learned quickly to understand the Eyewing, as well as the dragonspeech it mimicked to teach her. Eyewings are solitary and almost never seen, Aside from her guardian she never saw another eyewing. While she was small and young her foster taught her to fight and protected her fiercely. While she was growing up though, the eyewing was injured while protecting her. While it was healing she protected it and the small grove in which it hid as fiercely as it had protected her. She found she enjoyed it. the sense of purpose in fighting, the thrill and the challenge. She enjoyed it enough that once the eyewing was better she began travelling farther and farther from the arcane grove she had been born in. Finally her Mirror heart pulled at her and she decided she needed to travel. Kiba wasn't expecting the Eyewing to follow her. After a long and heartfelt goodbye she had taken off at top speed, sadly leaving the many eyes that had long watched over her behind. she was only maybe a day's travel into the plaguelands when she realized she was being followed. She was all too happy though, to realize the Eyewing had decided to accompany her. She fought with beastclans and dragons alike goodnaturedly, and as often as she could. She traveled through Shadow, Water, Wind, Fire, and Lightning. Though she enjoyed each of them she was never reluctant to leave until she reached Light. She felt more settled there. She enjoyed the cool dappled forests, the clearings and springs, and the ruins were filled with monsters and beastclans she could battle. Her Eyewing familiar also seemed more content there. However she was prepared to leave again when she finally lost a fight. She was battered, bleeding, and unable to move. She thought surely she would be killed, as her head began to swim and she began to black out she could feel the ground begin to shake and heard a ferocious, coarse roaring rapidly approaching.

Kiba awoke sore and stiff but awoke all the same, as she feared she would never awake again. She looked around and found herself in a cave of some black and gray stone. The ground was pleasantly cool and the room was dark, save for a faint glow so she used her second set of eyes to look and was startled to she a blazing heat signature mere feet away. she scrabbled to her feet and the faint glow moved. With an exhale of glowing deep purple breath the room was dimly lit while the coatl shuffled to light a low torch by a tapestry hung against the wall and it blazed lighting the room softly. This revealed a small, low room with several pots and jars and blankets. It also revealed a pearl colored Coatl with pale green eyes and pale runes all along her, barely distinguishable from the color of her hide.
"Good you're awake," the elegant coatl cooed her voice low, "I was beginning to worry the poison had run too far a course for use to fix."
It took Kiba a moment to remember how to form dragon words, it was rare for her to speak to them. Her disorientation robbing her of her usual cheer, "Whar-Where am I?" Her voice croaked painfully with the speech, how long had she been here?
"You're in light territory, a place called Capriscen," the coatl murmured gently while pouring water into a tall beaker and handing it to her . Kiba gulped the water down greedily, draining the cup with a sense of relief. The pearly dragon continued, "My name is Frezza I've been treating your injuries."
"Injuries?" Kiba said absently, she stretched as her memories came back clearly.
Frezza ducked her head in a nod. "You were found fighting outside the Colisuem, you're lucky Harriet and Boreas found you. A few more moments and those beasts would have surely killed you. Their poison nearly did." Frezza arched her head up examining her patient. "Do you feel well enough to walk? I'm sure you could use a proper meal, and Harriet asked me to keep her updated on your condition."
Kiba tested her strength and found once she shook out the stiffness walking was easy. She followed Frezza slowly through well lit, broad corridors, past countless rooms and tapestries. A library with a couple of Imperials in it, a partially drawn tapestry revealing a room with a pair of sleeping Nocturnes in it. All the while a fresh breeze pulled her forward toward the promise of fresh air and warm sunlight. The hall sloped more and more upwards until Frezza pulled back a translucent vale and bright sunlight streamed in around them. Kiba couldn't hold herself back and rushed forward to step onto the soft green grass. She immediately lowered herself to the ground for a moment, even the short walk had exhausted her.
"How long have I been here?" she asked the question apprehensively and she watched as Frezza ticked her tail back and forth a moment before answering
"A week? Maybe two. I'm not certain I'm not really in the habit of keeping time." Kiba was appalled, a week asleep.
"The creature with me when I was battling," Kiba blurted out, "what has become of her?"
"She has stayed nearby. I'm sure once she sees you she'll come out of hiding. She hasn't let any of us near her."
Kiba was relived and as she relaxed she felt the ground begin the tremble in a way she was surprised to find familiar. She and Frezza both looked up to see the massive ridgeback trot up to them her blue eyes glittering happily. "Hey you're awake! About time we see you back up on your feet," her smile looked somewhat strange and stretched on her features but it seemed genuine. Before Kiba could say anything Frezza spoke. "Good to see you too Harriet, mind keeping our guest her company while I go let the queen know she's awake?"
"Sure, Don't take too long alright?" Frezza padded off without answering, going up the hill and up a massive stone stairway inside what seemed to be an even larger cavern.
"How do you feel," Harriet asked lowering herself to sit near her, "Sorry, I'm Harriet. I saw you fighting the beasts and saw you fall. We were able to chase them away and bring you back here. You can sure fight, but what were you doing out there fighting with the beastclans outside the Coliseum?"
Kiba smiled tiredly this was a question she had to answer most times she met with dragons, "I enjoy battling them, dragons too. It's fun for me"
"So do I, I meant why were you outside the Coliseum. You wouldn't have sustained such injuries in there."
Kiba opened her mouth to speak when Frezza returned and nudged her to her feet, "Come come, the queen has requested an audience with you." Kiba obliged, too weary to argue and stretched before following the Coatl up the massive stone stairs. As she grew closer to the monolithic castle she noticed intricate carvings on the smooth wall, banners hung on the front of it and inside, and real glass windows. Some were stained different colors. The temperature once again cooled a few degrees as she entered the room and Frezza led her into a large doorway just to the right of the entrance. The room the entered was even more massive. The ceiling towered far overhead, so high that it made Kiba dizzy to look up at it. The cavernous room was lined with enormous windows, at several intervals carved gray columns stood as supports.
At the end of the room was a window of stained glass with the emblem of the light flight stained in yellow glass on it. Before it was a raised dais, and on the dais was a wide throne carved from glimmering black obsidian.
A regal red bogsneak sat, or rather laid on the throne. She wore a crown and held her head high. Anywhere else Kiba may have found this kind of absurd. Her experience with bogsneaks had shown them to be lazy, sluggish creatures with somewhat sour attitudes and dull wits. Seeing this one however shattered that ideal. Her eyes were sharp and as she drew closer down the long woven rug leading to the throne she felt almost physically buffeted by the aura of authority and eminence she let off and she could understand the loyalty all these dragons clearly felt toward their strange queen. Frezza halted and bowed a few meters from the bogsneak and bowed her head and stepped back ushering Kiba forward.
"She's nicer than she looks, don't be concerned," Frezza whispered softly and Kiba stepped forward dipping her head a little in spite of herself. The queen slid off her throne and waddled forward a few paces, only then did kiba see the two female skydancers by her side who forward with her. The queen quietly appraised Kiba and not one to waste words she cut right to the chase, "Some of my fighters found you, Harriet says you also seem to be a strong fighter." She narrowed her eyes in an amused looking way and curled her jaws up into a smile, "my realm can always use strong and talented dragons like yourself. You can make us stronger, we can make you stronger as well. We would value you here, won't you consider joining us."
The queen did not ask it like a question, but rather more a statement. As if she was placing her trust in Kiba just declaring that she should consider joining these dragons permanently in her home. She took a moment to think about it and was surprised to find she already had her answer. A flame of loyalty to this dragon had lit itself inside Kiba, without her even realizing. Disoriented and confused as she was, being in this place felt right to her. She felt connected to it, she was happy here and had no desire to leave.
Kiba looked up and face the queen before nodding, bowing her head as she did. "I will stay here," she responded simply.

As time passed Kiba has never regretted her decision. She has become well known and well liked here. She's made friends and still enjoys her passion for fighting, now she does it in coliseum. for the glory and benefit of her clan. She has found a home.
