He was alone.

Again.

The claw of a front foot scraped the dry ground beneath it as the lone Skydancer wandered along the outside of the camp, his head down, his tail dragging, moving slowly as he made a circle around the area. He never was really able to stay among the others closely; it felt wrong, not just because of how he felt around them, but he was also an introvert at heart. It never did him well to be physically close to groups such as that.

Not that he felt like he belonged anyways. He never had. It just seemed that no matter where he went, who he met, no one would truly accept him, and he would always end up back alone. Even in this place, a place he wasn't able to leave, he still felt the crippling feeling of being alone. They didn't want him around, or at least it felt that way, but yet they didn't want him to leave. Trapped, like a bird longing for freedom while stuck in a cage. Unable to find a way to set himself free.

He knew that if he tried to leave; a thought that had crossed his mind too many times, a thought that was exceedingly tempting at times, that there would consequences. He didn't know what said consequences were, but he also know that they'd be severe, just judging by what could happen to someone if they made a mere small mistake. He knew. He knew what went on there very well, being one of the individuals that had made a small mistake. He would never forget that mistake, for it had been branded across his face as a long and thin, but obvious scar. He was probably lucky that he didn't lose an eye, what with how close the strike came to it.

Maybe. He never really considered himself lucky. He couldn't be lucky. Not after all that he had dealt with.

★ His eyes have always been strangely gold for a Light dragon, but they have become a little more gold with the magic shift that cause a lot of eye colours to change.
★ His stomach is very sensitive, making it so he has to be a little picky with what he eats, and how fast he eats. Even then, sometimes food that didn't bother him one time will bother him later on. He hates it, and he's always careful with what he eats, even if the food has never bothered his stomach before.
★ However, he is aware of some things that always cause him problems that he completely avoids. The main culprits are Black Tulips, any kind of wasp or bee, and grapes. He doesn't know, or care, why his stomach hates those; he just stays away from them.
★ Either way though, he still really loves food. He wasn't always that way, this developed after an event that led to him being purposely starved by others.
★ He is covered in scars, scars he received from multiple others from a place he was stuck in for a few years. Not from torture or anything like that, but from getting picked on and pushed around, and a couple of them were "punishments" for failing to do what he was asked.
★ Other than one of the ones he received as a punishment, which is a long one across his face, he keeps them hidden from view. He hates how he looks due to them, and he's also ashamed of them, due to where he had gotten them from.
★ He also has a quite a few small scars on his hands from picking or biting at his skin, something he has always done on and off, even when he was young. He keep his hands wrapped in black linen now, to prevent that as best as he can. But even then, sometimes he still can't resist. He's getting better with it, thanks to Ormat helping him out.
★ He suffers from nightmares that are another direct result from living with the nasty individuals. He doesn't get them every night, but he does get them often. The intensity varies: he can have ones so minor that he doesn't remember them the next morning, and he can also have ones bad enough that he doesn't want to go to bed the next night. Either way, so far, he has not woken up screaming.
★ He also suffers from insomnia when stressed out.
★ His nightmares also tend to worsen when he's stressed enough, and this usually results in him looking very tired for a few days/until after the stress is gone.
★ His scalp is very sensitive, so he prefers that no one other than him touch his hair unless needed, and even then, only ones he trusts enough are allowed to touch it or help him do something with it, such as brushing it.
★ Owns a pair of long, serrated daggers that he always keeps with him. He never lets them leave his sight, so when he has to take them off for bathing or sleeping, they're always very close, within his reach. He feels vulnerable when they're farther away or he cannot see them.
★ Really, really doesn't care for dressing nice/formally. Ormat usually has to give him a few nudges to wear something at least a little nice when they're going to something formal or important.
★ Despite this, he nearly always wears the small fillet that Ormat gave him not long after they became mates.
★ His biggest use of his Light magic is distorting the light around him so he becomes invisible to the eye.
★ Hard to read, even for other Skydancers, for he doesn't show very much emotion, and it's also hard to sense emotion from him as a whole. It's likely a thing he was born with, for his adoptive sister Cergha has never been able to sense much from him the entire time she had known him, even when they were hatchlings.
★ Doesn't smile, hasn't smiled in a long time. Ormat has tried to get him to smile multiple times, but so far, there has been no success.
★ Flinches automatically when someone raises a hand near him. Also really dislikes being yelled at. Both originated from growing up with an adoptive father that never really liked him (though he was never actually hit), though his time when he was stuck really didn't help, and likely made it a little worse.
★ Due to nearly constant exposure to the Shade during the time he was stuck, he's weak to it and it's likely not hard to infect him. He isn't aware of this, though he did once catch the Shade sickness when all he did was spend a few minutes in a Shade-saturated cave. Honestly, he didn't think much of that situation afterwards
★ The bejewelled ravens on one of his wings is a magical tattoo, gotten as a sort of present from Ormat on one of his birthdays. He was able to get a tattoo that Ormat was paying for, and got free reign over the actual design.
