Maiden

The Focal PointTheodosiaLin said that she isn't going to let me leave until im ready do breed, she said, that maybe i am strong and smart, but at her eyes i am still a star kid and that she wishes to keep me here a little bit more.

I wanted to keep my promise, but the world is calling me! There is so much to see, so many dragons to meet and I can't wait!
I will leave tonight when everyone is sleeping!

The Star Child slipped away into the night, the twinkling lights of the Strand below catching her interest. It looked like stars had bloomed everywhere! So beautiful. So wonderful. Magical and mystical and... Home. It felt like home in ways she couldn't describe and it made her ache for a world in which she could never visit, never return, and never know why.








Her next destination was decidedly darker than the realm of the Lightweaver. It was a city, constructed of dark stone and polished obsidian with a dark sky choked by thick clouds of smoke and ash. It was Anville.

She'd heard of the city on her travels, knew it was a great hub of dragons, and now she found herself there in the heart of it all. Her skills as a sword for hire found great use there as she was taken by some of the more renowned fighters to battle fierce beasts and bring back to the city the spoils of her efforts. She kept what she earned, including the experience gained.

Anville had no real structure or definitive code of conduct and she reveled in that. She found herself a partner, a handsome young Coatl she met one night and she bore him two children. With provisions for her young provided and the will to travel burning in her blood once again, she turned her eyes to the skies and too off once more to seek further adventures.



Maiden's flight took her far into the wastes, of fire and lava. Not much but stone grew here. So come her suprise as she spotted a red hued skydancer wandering through the wastes. What dragon in their right mind would walk through such a land? After a brief introduction and advertising of her skills as a warrior for hire, the Skydancer, named Yuka, hired her to accompany her back to her clan. Many days and many nights they trekked though the fire territory, unable to fly due to Yuka being flightless. Such a sad thing. But finally they made it and Maiden was greeted by a clan of powerful females. The matriarchs of this Clan, Clan Pyre, welcomed her with open arms.

But alas she found more comfort in the presence of the 'Beloved Mothers', the Clan's elders, than she did with it's rowdy youngsters. Here, Maiden learned much about the world from these once travelers, bandits, and a few murders. Despite knowing of their ill pasts, she found herself calm and intrigued. A sort of vacation despite the Clan's harsh location.

Well rested and heart a little lighter, Maiden bid the clan farewell and left for her next adventure.
