A fast and fearsome fighter with a knack for taking charge, Heliconia was the former leader of a group of refugees from the Fire Flight. With their clans torn asunder and hopes at an all-time low, all it took was Heliconia's boldness, wit, and realism to give them the courage they needed to carry on. She marched them for weeks over Sornieth as they sought shelter from the elements, but no one took them in before Veridios.
Grateful for his generosity and the care he took in healing the sick and wounded dragons she had led, Heliconia swore loyalty to the Biome Clan. The moment she did, she was indoctrinated as the fastest and most deadly warrior they had ever seen. Though Veridios's kin worried about her starting wars under the name of their peaceful clan, Heliconia only ever uses her strength to protect the home she loves so dearly. Initially turned off by her abrasive nature and brutal honesty, the children of Veridios soon realized that her personality was charged with latent compassion that -- thanks to her difficult life -- had difficulty manifesting in any other way.
As Heliconia sought to train new recruits, one in particular stood out to her: the Snapper dragon from the Water Flight, Cumulus. Initially she thought him foolish with his tactic to always sit and let the blows roll over his shoulders, but he stepped forth to protect her at all opportunities -- even at the risk of his own life. Though he was slow and bulky and she was lithe and agile, they had two things in common: their strength, and their will to protect the Biome Clan. As he risked his life to save her time and time again, Heliconia warmed to his sweet personality and steadfast faith in what's right. They are now mates, and hope to train their children to become defenders of the Gladekeeper herself.

Veridios is a good friend to Heliconia. They function well in combat together alongside Cumulus, and Heliconia deeply admires his gentle nature and ability to exhibit compassion in a kindhearted way. In many respects, she wishes to be like him; but she has resigned herself that she helps the Biome Clan the best as she is now.
