“As I look back now I can see that I was a perfect little aristocrat.”
At first shy and wary, Adrian grew to enjoy his new permanent home. He was used to the shifting nature of his stays and learnt to become distant and vigilant to relationships. He did not want to make friends and have a good time, only to be torn away from a loving family. When he first arrived, he brooded and was very distrusting. He tried to avoid long talks and only made polite conversation. He hid his almost hatchling-like worries of having to once again move and meet new strangers. This stemmed from his aristocratic upbringing, and he remained friendly yet detached. He has since been reassured by many in the clan that he is well-liked and a part of the family, an irreplaceable member of their clan. He still has doubts and is always expecting the worst - that he will leave again. He shuts away these thoughts and focuses now on enjoying his new-found experiences. He has currently been in this clan for a long time, and has grown to believe in his family, that they will not abandon him and leave him to his own devices. He is close with many dragons, but especially with Xavier and Vela, who he spends a lot of his time with. They all work together in keeping tabs on Sornieth's economy and markets. Their intelligence allows them to easily valuate items, currencies and ensure that the clan's trading relations go smoothly and become profitable. Adrian's naturally analytic mind allows him to guess the trends of the economy. His suggestions the clan's trade decisions are respected and often prove to be useful. Other than his work friends, he also struck up a relationship with Bran - a wise and chatty Snapper. He occasionally travels with the land dragon to visit his children, and rather than being removed, quite enjoys the experience. Bran's ability to talk to him with no end in sight, opened Adrian up to becoming more friendly with other dragons. He has become a little less fearful of loss and is very happy in his current clan.
