Don't be fooled by Madame Zircon's pale eyes, this mischievous old grandmother is a shadow dragon to her core. Time and age may have clouded her vision, but nothing gets past her. Not much is known of Madame Zircon's younger years, save that she only began living as a woman later in life. They say that as she lost her sight, she was forced to look more and more inwards, questioning the life she was living. When she accepted the truth she had known all along and suppressed to try and fit in with the norm, they say she truly came awake. Everything made sense, and the universe seemed to shift around her, luck overflowing and things falling into place one by one until she lived comfortably as who she was inside. With her psychic powers also awakened by her heightened awareness, she set herself up sharing wisdom with those around her. Tarot cards and runes became her new tools of the trade, and her work space became a decadent retreat of silky fabric and plush cushions. Dragons passing by often find themselves lured in by the heady smell of incense and the rhythmic sound of drumming. Madame Zircon denies herself no pleasures, and lives in a state of hedonism which she says, with a sly smile, that she has long since earned. She shares her gifts for fortunetelling and blessings with those around her, but always at a price. The price isn't so much for personal gain, but to ensure that the recipient of her help truly needs and appreciates the blessing or vision they receive, as such gifts should not be used flippantly. As such, the price she asks may be anything from a kiss on the cheek or a box of spices to sorting through a huge jar of sand grain by grain. |
